November 22, 20241 yr I'm interested in seeing fps comparisons with 50+ AI from fsltl etc in a large airport.. Curious to see if AI is handled by other cores so that main core isn't hammered.. I don't think multi core is working as it should.. Still see stutters in YouTube streams esp after landing.. Vinod Kumar i9 10900K 5.3 Ghz, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM, Win 11. November 22, 20241 yr In VR using the same settings I used in 2020, its a hot mess stutterfest for me. About 60-70% heavier than 2020 with constant GPU bottleneck (even in the menus the GPU is hammered) At 3440x1440 Ultra I get 35-40 fps with the system in signature. Disabling ray traced shadows brings +1-2 fps. Moreover the terrain looks better than 2020 when walking, but even from 500-100 ft altitude the terrain textures appear very low-res. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
November 22, 20241 yr 5900X, 3080 ti, 64 GB DDR4 3200, 1TB M2 SSD I'm getting about 40fps on the default "high-end" settings in NYC on the ground. In the air flying the city i've gotten up to 55. This is with DLSS on Auto and running in 4k resolution. Samscene3d NYC Times is installed. I'd say I'm pretty happy with those results.
November 22, 20241 yr Does the frame generation mod work yet? That made a big difference in 2020. Haven't been able to load into flights enough yet to fully test default performance.

November 22, 20241 yr There is a useful post on the MSFS forum about graphical settings, check it out : FS2024 Graphics Settings and Performance Guide (11/20/2024) - User Support Hub / Install, Performance & Graphics - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums On a related note, does anyone know how exactly the new dynamic settings works? November 25, 20241 yr Author Ok it looks like on 3rd party sceneries, performance is seriously degradated. On default/handcrafted airports by Asobo, I ran smoothly, however on any 3rd party scenery, I struggle with FPS. I've seen some content creators having the same issue. Anyone else?
November 25, 20241 yr Why do some have superb performance and others have not even when the hardware is the same. For me MSFS2024 is terrible. With every change of view the FPS drops dramatically MSFS 2020 however is superb. Cloud gaming.......not sure how this is going to be in the future. I mean stream airports also etc... Must be a joke? Indeed. I loaded up the same scenery, same time of day (basically same conditions), with default A321 and Fenix A321, and the difference is crazy. More than 40 FPS difference between the 2 aircraft.
November 26, 20241 yr how are people finding the multi-core use please ? I'm upgrading my CPU (an ancient Xeon) paired with a 3060Ti to either a 5700x3D, 7700x or 7900 I'm siding on the 7900 as it is only about 70 dollars more than the 7700x dual CCD is not ideal for some games but if FS2024 is able to use the extra 4 cores/threads I might be tempted 7700x has the advantage of 1 CCD and higher clocks I've love to be able to justify purchasing a 7800x3D but I just can't
November 26, 20241 yr Moderator on my old 7700 @ 5ghz with 3090 using frame gen I have all settings on high and it's been smooth as silk, no issues, no popping. I don 't understand it as I was expecting to pop for a new system but if it stays this way, I have saved some $$$. On;y GA aircraft like Longitude, Flysimware C414 etc - using AS weather. Haven't a clue as to FPS but it's totally smooth. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
