Fenix is now compatible with MSFS 2024 (with 4x sim rate!)

I'm having problems with the Fenix in 2024. If I start at a gate, I cannot power on the aircraft. Even if I go to the Fenix Tablet and choose a Panel state, it does nothing. If I start on a runway, I have all the systems powered.

Click the button that says exclude 3rd party jetways?

No, click the button that looks like this >>> so ALL jetways replacements will be Disabled (they are replacements, not exclusions, so you exclude an airport from GSX by disabling the jetway replacement file), then Apply.

The Navdata is not the same between MSFS and MSFS 2024 but, while in MSFS 2020 this would only cause seeing duplicate parking spots, a scenery conflict in MSFS 2024 crashes the sim so, for the time being, keep all jetway replacement Disabled, but other than that, everything works with the Fenix, including Seated Passengers.

Are there two seperate exclusions, one for MSFS and one for 2024 if both are installed?

It's almost comical at this point.

It's getting to the point where I think I need to get over my Boeing bias.

It's likely that Fenix were able to port their add-on to MSFS 2024 faster because they are using an external flight model and external process.  I have read reports that A2A's Comanche also works well in MSFS 2024 even though A2A didn't release any patches to convert the Comanche to MSFS 2024, probably because A2A is also using an external flight model that is less tied to the MSFS SDK (but I don't think A2A is using an external process anymore because they are selling their Comanche on XBox, and I believe the XBox sandbox does not allow an external process to run).

Good food for thought.

OTOH, the FSR500 is fully v2020 native and appears to run flawlessly in v2024 (at least so far).

I think part of this situation is that some dev teams are generating "cleaner code" that is better aligned with Asobo's framework (and that would include Fenix for the significant part that lives in the sim.

The more I see of PMDGs ongoing situations, the more I have a feeling that their toolbox is mostly filled with hammers - if you get my drift.

Fenix seems very buggy in 2024. For example, I can't pull on any of my knobs. Only push. Tablet is very sluggish. And the first time I tried a cold and dark start, nothing would respond. Not even preset panel states.

Did anyone actually got it working? Because for me it installed well, however in MSFS, I get absolutely no power or anything. I can click the switches, but they are not lighting up.

Everyone is quick to praise, However, it's buggy.

This is to be expected as it is in a "experientmental" state. They do not have support for MS 2024 yet as I understand? Some one explain to me what is the point or importance of x4 speed and its purpose? Don't try as I already know. Did it in FSX years ago.

What do you expect with a new sim. If you haven't already read the blog. An important part I have posted below. People are being able to complete flights others are suffering problems....

However, a disclaimer before we continue: We consider MSFS 2024 support entirely experimental at this stage and DO NOT consider 2024 compatibility an “advertised” feature, and as such we have not updated our store etc to reflect - this is down to the fact that we do not yet feel confident in the stability of the new simulator/platform, and do not want to begin taking customers’ money on this basis while being unable to guarantee a smooth experience. As a result, please be advised we will not be considering refund requests on the basis of MSFS 2024 experiences/issues - additionally, we will not be accepting customer support tickets in the 2024 environment at this time. We’ve created a community forum area for 2024 so folks can discuss things amongst themselves and we can have some sort of visibility into how things are going, though.

Payware most likely is.

Yes it is but I just scratching my head trying to figure out how the "world not allowed" they got it to even function less than a week in the new sim in the first place and working nicely (for some people). Must be advantage of external software or something. 🤔

Dammed if I can get my throttle to work on my Thrustmaster TCA Throttle. Everything works except that.

Controller settings I have the throttle mapped the same as FS2020,Throttle Axis 1 & 2.

Any ideas ?

I understand this is experimental for now, but I’m curious what performance everyone is getting with the Fenix? On my system it’s pretty slow, fps wise (maybe 20 or mid 20s). Admittedly this is with everything on ultra on a 4k display.

It was the best in MSFS2020, so it would be reasonable to think the same in the new one.
