The OP's Post / Topic is about MSFS2020.

Heh, indeed. I didn't even notice that, I automatically assumed 2024.

  • I disagree. It does need filters. It's far too bright out of the box.

  • I have installed ReShade and after a few attempts I can say that I am very happy with the result. Shaders are great, and I also like the GUI which is intuitive and simple. So bye bye Nvidia filter

Since I uninstalled GFE and installed the new Nvidia App, no more filters besides "vibrance".

I suspect it's the new app the problem.

Anyone tried to uninstall it and install back GFE to see if the filter are available?

I don't have time today...

Hi, Noooch,

I uninstalled and installed a lot of times both Nvidia App and GeForce Experience, but to no avail!

In my case, nothing works, not even one filter!

I hope next update of Nvidia driver or Nvidia App will solve the problem.

Now, the bright of the clouds, for instance, it's a nuisance!

Greetings

Looks good. Any noticeable performance hit, especially compared to Nvidia filter?

Both Nvidia Filters and ReShade can have a small hit on FPS, depending on shaders used. I believe overall, ReShade has a lower hit compared to Nvidia Filters.

Sethos gave us the answer, I am not qualified to compare as this is my first flight 😉

John, where do you have FS2024 installed? Maybe that is the issue as to why some of us are not seeing the filters.

Hi,

I use reshade in xp12 with great success, but it keeps crashing 2020 that's why I tried the filters route.

I have mine through Steam, so I installed it onto my E drive.

The Zentient shader really makes thing pop, almost makes you want to take up photography in the sim

Hi do you have a link to that filter or is it included in ReShade?  Ive been using ReShade successfully for the past week in 2024.  I used to use FinalLight to correct awful colour temperatures in 2020 but have dropped it now.  Still use LumaSharpen and a Levels filter as 2024 is as flat as a pancake.  Severely lacks contrast and easy to see if you enable/disable ReShade

It's included in ReShade, you can pick it during installation. Yeah 2024's colour grading is different, so FinalLight isn't really working, you end up with a different hue.

They work. Just need the latest drivers.

The filters dont work with FS2024.

The Nvidia app just displays the different filters but none are selectable.

Nvidia lists the programs that are compatible and FS2024 isnt one of them.

Ok, thanks for the info. I have mine installed on my D drive. I was wondering if the install must be on the C drive in a default location in order for the filters to work, but obviously not.

On another note, I did get the frame rate limiter to work by going through the app, so there's that.
