Yes, not just overly complicated but also very long unnecessary diversions. Does this mean they're going to fix this, or rather is it just a limitation that we're going to have to accept)

I cant even consider the difficulties in doing all this. Should be getting our thanks for all the hard work not continuous complaints, of course if you have a brilliant solution im sure thy will be all ears.

Your answer would have been rude to everyone, let alone to @tonywob who is the kindest person I know in the whole Avsim! Completely out of place. One thing I can say about is that they are being transparent about these issue and hopefully will have a fix soon. Good to know as a heads up on what to expect.

The internet is full of people like this who are looking for a fight and get offended/upset by everything, it says more about them than it does anything else.

FSHUD, BATC come to my mind as much more effective, polished solutions, including the interaction with, and even their autonomous injection of believable AI Traffic (another long requested feature for XP) ... Both unfortunately not available for XP, and the alternatives I've used with XP, with maybe the exception of Pilot2ATC... And there's AutoATC, but I didn't yet have the chance to try that one... And no, it's not because they (MS) have a BIG software dev behind (ASOBO) because both (FSHUD and BATC) are almost 1-dev apps... We've been using the AutoATC transcripter a little to help Jim recreate/track issues https://autoatc.zem-solutions.com/Transcriptor.html That does in browser parsing of X-Plane ATC_Log.txt and AutoATC logs to give you a text transcript of the flight and place the coms/route on a map (often things start going wrong well before you actually notice them) AutoATC Developer

No, i just have a lot of respect for the people who are putting in the time and effort to make xplane better, and as stated, i seriously have no idea of how complicated ATC must be to get it to do what it does, but never thanks, always complaints. But that is the way the world is today.

December 6, 20241 yr @mjrhealth Imagine how complicated it must be to design and build a CPU. When a consumer goes to the store to buy a microprocessor, they never think about "I wonder how difficult it was to make it". The consumer wants only one thing: that the item works perfectly. If after buying the object, even if it only cost 10 dollars, the consumer discovers that that CPU makes miscalculations because it is buggy, I have serious doubts that he would thank the team. December 6, 20241 yr Its all a matter of words, can you imagine how the conversation would have gone if it had started with, This beta ATC release has really improved ATC, thanks Laminar, I do hope they can solve this extended landing problem,". I would have 100% agreed and we wouldnt be here. But thanking people for hard work seems to be a thing of the past. 36 minutes ago, efis007 said: CPU makes miscalculations because it is buggy You do know we are human beings, and we are all a little buggy.

In that case, the team would have been thanked for fixing the problem (even if partially) in a sufficiently short time. Unfortunately, however, the faulty ATC has been a reported problem for more than 10 years (and the dark panels for 7 years), and today after all this time and several versions/patches released, the team has not yet completely solved the problem. The consumer does not have infinite patience, after 10 years of waiting I think that the limit of patience has been far exceeded, so in my opinion customers are fully entitled to criticize the Laminar team. If the Laminars team wants to receive thanks, they must fix (now, and quickly) all the well-known problems that Xplane has been suffering from for a very long time. A premise: I personally am not interested in the integrated ATC, I can also fly without ATC using the charts, so I am not part of the chorus of dissatisfied customers who criticize Xplane for the imperfect ATC.
