I know there's a list of compatible add-ons for 2024, but I wondered what general aviation fans are flying in 2024?  

A lot of my aircraft are purchased off the marketplace and are disabled for now.  

What are people having fun flying?  Default or payware?

I'll start with the FSReborn Sting S4.  Flies very well in 2024.  The ground handling is a little twitchy, but nothing crazy (guessing that just needs updated to the new sim).  It is a great hand flier in 2024.  Everything seems to work fine, although I'm no systems expert.  

I haven't tried the A2A Comanche yet, but I understand there's a beta patch for 2024.

The default 172 is ok, but a little "twitchy" to fly.  (not sure if others see that with the default planes)

What GA planes are people enjoying?

I've been flying the Freedom Fox quite a bit. The Pilot Experience Sim Maule works very well. I've tried quite a few others but removed them again as there was always something not quite right. It's a shame it will be 2025 before my favourites are there but there is more than enough to keep me going for now.

I wish that would install direct into 2024 but it doesn't yet. 

The new GotFriends planes are awesome. Draco X and Zlin Savage Norden are fantastic bush flyers and the Stemme S12 and Pipistrell Taurus are very capable motorised gliders if you're into gliding.

Not sure if you'd still count it as GA but the Grumman Albatross is a true gem, maybe my favorite plane in the sim. It was done by Mike Johnson aka. LotusSim, he made the legendary L-39 Albatross back in FSX.

I just bought the Big Radials Noorduyn Norseman it works well in 2024 so far. 

My favourite is the Cessna 152 that comes with the sim.

I'll wait on the Comanche until A2A bring out their 2024 version.

Yes, I think I'm happy to wait for native 2024 versions rather than 2020 conversions, especially for the best addons such as this one. There will be a flood of them at some point.

Agreed, I don't want to let common problems with ported 2020 aircraft affect the enjoyment of flying the Comanche. I guess it will take a while to re-design the walkaround, etc.

 

Agree on the Flysimware C24R!

And speaking of Flysimware, in the absence of the 414 (for me anyway), the included 404 is not terrible.

The Draco X comes with a co pilot that you can’t get rid of and also seems to undergo a gender reassignment shortly after takeoff!

And I wish GF would acknowledge this! Seems to be a bug on all of their 2024 included aircraft. 

Enjoying  all 3 planes from FSReborn, they were available  on day 1 of the new sim.

I've noticed that in a number of airplanes and helicopters, there are definitely inconsistencies with displaying the co-pilot and passengers.
