  • The COWS DA40-XLS is the best general aviation simulation I have ever tested, whether in terms of flight model, ground handling, sounds, or graphics. It's flawless. Kudos to the developers!

  • V1.0.3  Removed mixture lever and propeller lever LVAR units (INPUT_PROPELLER/INPUT_MIXUTURE range is now 0-100) Fixed propeller lever button inputs Fixed parking brake not being recogn

  • Did anyone catch the YT channel Fly from Homes's review? In short the reviewer is a CFI who does instructing on type (also airline F/O) and had this to say about the COWS DA40 XLS on his channel.

It's 40 AUD though....like 25 USD.  Pretty cheap for an addon.

Absolutely.  If a products quality is towards the top end of what's possible, I have no problem with a premium price.

First preview stream is currently live (in german) at https://www.twitch.tv/pilotdeviation

It is looking great so far - it's got a constant speed prop, Free castering nose wheel and full G1000 avionics suit (default Woking title). I would have liked if they had done conventional instruments too but most DA40 nowadays are G1000 only. Can do both VFR/IFR however I don't think it is approved for flight into known icing conditions as there is no anti-icing equipment.

I don't know about you but if I have to wait too long for an addon to be released I get a bit bored of waiting and my interest wanes. I am on the the brink with this one now. It feels like it has been 'imminent' forever. I wish developers wouldn't do this.

Anyway, here is yet another preview -

One thing COWs airplane lack is modeling icing on windshield/canopy .
