January 31, 20251 yr With all these accolades flying around very tempted to get this! Does anyone know if the devs took advantage of FS2024 features (especially when it comes to flight and ground physics)? Sounds like those praising the flight handling and feel are mostly/all using the 2024 version? I've only had it for like 30 min but it really feels great. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

February 5, 20251 yr Ahem...in short. Wow. This addon is by far the best stimulated version of a Diamond Star you can get. Even though I'm more familiar with DA40 NG IRL, the XLS has the same wing and fuselage (correct me if I am wrong here) and it just feels so darn realistic how it performs in manuevers in the sim. Slightly different in the landings than an NG which is expected due the difference is prop drag. Anyway, I'm beyond impressed. This plane is crazy fun - and good! Simply a Homerun by the COWS-team. February 7, 20251 yr Did anyone catch the YT channel Fly from Homes's review? In short the reviewer is a CFI who does instructing on type (also airline F/O) and had this to say about the COWS DA40 XLS on his channel. Quote I'd be hard pressed to pull anything up about the flight model of the aircraft. It is really that good. If you are a student learning to fly in this plane or doing your CPL, this is definitively a great training aid..." Now, isn't this the absolute best verdict a flightsim add-on can get? https://youtu.be/FgjCWQmCEzQ?t=3992 (I could also link to A330 driver's review. Not surprising, he also loved the FM , but since he was given a review copy whereas the CFI wasn't, I decided to link to a more "neutral" video) EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
