February 4, 20251 yr I have a 3080 and have been chasing the DLSS 4 holy grail and have had not much success. Tried all the video suggestions and I have the the regeit to get the overlay showing K. I am getting 108 FPS but still have to deal with the blurries on pmdg fenix etc. Running TAA FG on I am getting around 85-90 with no blurries. Just wondering your thoughts. Seems to me 80+ FPS no blurries is a no brainer? I can post pics if need be. (572.16) Chris Chiozza

In your Nvidia Control Panel for MSFS, change it to 16x, and in the sim, turn it off. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

Honestly, I don't think TAA isn't really worth it anymore. It's way too demanding, and the image quality isn't really all that great. Using DLSS swapper, Nvidia Inspector with the correct profile (here) is the easy way to get it to work. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

When we stopped at Rwy 17L to watch a plane come in and then for me to TO I decided to flip to TAA, instead of NVSR + DLAA: the unlocked fps went from 104 to 74! Why the obsession with FPS? Surely it is fluidity and clarity (of instruments especially) that you should be after. 74 is more that enough. Cheers Steve Hall
February 4, 20251 yr No obsession it's a case of having headroom for when there are much more demanding scenarios. My example illustrates just how much more demanding TAA is. I used TAA for years until I ran out of headroom to accommodate BATC's traffic injection system, on top of a couple of other apps, and I have resisted using NV Frame Generation because of heinous artifacts that are hard to ignore and those are maximized when TAA is used, so now we use DLSS4 with NRSR + DLAA + Frame Gen and image quality and performance are truly phenomenal with the exception of now improved but still significant ghosting/smearing of glass cockpit characters. February 5, 20251 yr All of these with msfs Dynamic Settings ON Default KSFO to default KOAK DLSS quality 90 TAA 76 Orbx EGLC to IniBuilds EDLL DLSS quality 50 TAA 20 KSFO flight: TAA makes sense. EGLC flight: 20 fps is not good!
