March 21, 20251 yr I dont know why some developers have problems simulating there products on low end machines but many times they do find a way to push out a performance patch later on to slow PC´s . and i am greatful for that. So far i having a blast (just not over Europe as peak temps still is about 90c without any WU updates) with the MAX (or other btw) and i am still only touching this without any failures. I hopefully wish they will still focus on the path that they have and give us an even more down the line product rather than rush out a -9 or -10 version Michael Moe Edited March 21, 20251 yr by Michael Moe Michael Moe
March 21, 20251 yr One thing I would like to see is some sort of road map from IFly regarding the development of the MAX series. I would love to see a MAX 9 sooner rather then later and eventually the MAX 7 and 10. As far as I know they have never formally announced any other variant. Interestingly Google AI says IFly plans to release the MAX 9 soon but take that with a grain of salt. I am sure they will wait until the 8 is 99% complete and get all the bugs fixed so I don't expect it real soon but it would be nice to know eventually we will see other variants. If it's truly just the 8 eventually the PMDG Max will start to look more lucrative. The current MAX 8 is getting pretty close. Maybe after a few more updates it will be 99% there. It's a nice model and likely superior compared to what a PMDG MAX (which I think is vaporware still) will ever be like but if it's just the 8 that will limit it's long term appeal. I actually hope IFly brings the NG over as well.

They are a small developer group from what I understand and they probably made a nice sum of money off of MSFS 2020 73Max to hold them over for a while (from consumer market) in order to update 2024. Look how long it took them to get their product from P3D5 into MS2020. Its not as simple as plug and play here. Edited March 22, 20251 yr by JBDB-MD80
March 22, 20251 yr Did the latest 737 MAX update improve the aircraft's behavior using sim rate, allowing the use of sim rate 4X or does it still the same? I'm holding off on buying until Ifly improves the aircraft's behavior with sim rate, but if they add MSFS 2024 support first, I might bite the bullet and settle for sim rate 2x max until they improve that.

I never get it to even increase to x2. Was wondering if I'm doing something wrong... March 22, 20251 yr Personally - ifly 737 max is one my favourite airplane to fly in the sim. The performance is steady as well as the actual handling I find tiny bit better then 737ng. Have flown numerous hours since its release few months back and it has worked flawlessly so far. I'm now looking forward to the upcoming SP1 as well as the 200 model.
