Anyone else getting stuck at the spinning circle today?

Featured Replies

I’m trying to load a flight today but can’t get past the aerial view loading screen with the spinning circle in the bottom right hand corner.  Everything was fine yesterday and all other flights in recent memory.

I’ve tried different airports, aircraft all the same.  Also tried the normal workarounds like zooming all the way out, reducing off screen caching, no dice.

Anyone else?  Or any other workarounds I’ve missed?

So far first flight load from fly now to cockpit 27 sec. Does this kind of thing rely on internet traffic? There have times where it’s takin over a minute and like this morning far less.

Thanks, yeah I was wondering if it could be a network connection issue.  I left it for ten minutes and it didn’t load.  I’ll try again in a bit and see.

No problems in the UK today. I've been testing and flying quite a bit for the past couple of hours.

No problem here, loaded with 3 different planes in 3 different airports and always loading in 10 to 30 seconds.

Several hours later and no change.  I tried entering the beta in case that might help, no luck.  Also tried using my VPN to connect to a European server, no luck.  Just no rhyme or reason for this, so frustrating.  2020 seems to work so I’ll have to move some airports back over and try my flight there.

FWIW I can now load a flight…not sure why but it’s working again.  Just in time for me to not have time for the flight I had planned 😂🤦‍♂️

Time to boot 2024: 3 minutes 24 seconds.

Time to boot Fly Now from map: 36 seconds

These times are normal, and were done just now.

(Both of these times have always been for me very much faster than 2020).

Agreed, when I fired up 2020 to see if it worked, I had to go make a coffee while I waited for it to load.  The difference is substantial.  Hopefully this blip for 2024 for me is just a blip.

Mine loads in 1 minute 10 seconds to the main menu and 10 to 30 seconds to the airport in SU2. But I don't have AIG, GSX and have few add-ons in my Community Folder. I have FSLTL though.

Same problem for me, on & off all day.

I9-13900K, RTX 4090, Reverb G2, Simrig Motion platform

Same here. I finally broke down and bought it yesterday. I got it installed all right and got it partially set up. I've been trying to use it today but have the spinning circle thing. That's why I didn't uninstall 2020. Just in case.

I have found then when this happens I reboot and I can get in the next time without issue (Actually happened this am) - however my flight is very stuttery.    I have to go in and clear all Nvidia caches and things get back to decent performance.   This never happens with 2020 which I why I still fly with both for now
