What is a flighting build?

It’s a beta build. “Flighting” = Masobo speak for a beta.

So SU2 is in beta. I wonder when does the final release come out. ? As I understand it if I buy MSFS2024 now I wont get SU2 beta installed until it is release candidate ?

If you buy and install MSFS2024, you'll have MSFS2024 SU1. In Microsoft/Asobo, there's no Release Candidate as such. Actually the last Beta is the Release Candidate but there's no public announcement on this.

If you want to test the Beta, have potential problem (no one knows and can assure everything will be fine) and obviously share feedback, you have to manually choose it.

You can sign up to the Insider Hub at any time (it's free) to join the beta program and update your build to the latest beta release. You just need to install the Xbox Insider Hub app from the MS store and opt in to the Flight Simulator 2024 beta program. Then the next time you reboot your machine (or just wait a little while) it'll start updating your sim.

I joined the beta all through the SU1 run up until release of the mainstream version. Then I opted out pre-SU2 as the sim is currently running nice and stable for me.

And if I don't want to have these potential problem I must wait until it leaves beta stage. When can that be expected to happen ?

No one knows for sure. The roadmap has been published during the last Live Dev Q/A and stated April'25 for SU2. Just wait. In any case, you'll be force to update.

The wrong wing flex animation is still there for almost all default liners, it seems that nobody cares about this ugly bug.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I had a crash while cruising. Could it be due to FSLTL? Or the Fenix, because there is a manipulation to be done during the installation of the Fenix? Because of the MIP?

I tried to share my feedback in the official forum, but I got my account suspended. Yes, I'm in the most recent Beta and I'm trying to see how this thing is working. Already reported the wing flex animation bug, and I can add that flying the TBM is a stutter nightmare, it is unflyable and the my 12GB VRAM is full. But the PMDG DC-6 seems working good now.

Anyone knows when Live Weather is working well ?

I have 2 flying pc’s. They both have LW enabled but the weather is not the same. Same settings in the menus.

Same weather data…

Clear weather VS Few clouds

Broken clouds VS OC

It was matching windy.com (well close enough) last night when I flew over Northern Spain, but there are reports of Live Weather not working correctly at all in the beta, nothing I've personally noticed yet though.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Only because I have 2 view pc’s I remarked it. Hopefully Adobo will fix the weather

There are problems with the live weather yesterday in Nantes it was OVC and I had a completely clear sky without any clouds !

And the other immersion killer problem ! The clouds disappear way too quickly ! The transition way too fast ! As if the clouds were melting in the sun !
