Default Beech 350i

Featured Replies

Well, I tried it today, and I stumped against:

1) Not being able to get the engine gauges on the center EFD, just the Map view 😕 ???

2) Can't get the airspeed to read in the PFD or to get a wind vector in the ND;

Whazzup ?

  • The cool thing is that a G1000 panel on a KingAir is not some weird anomaly. There has been well over 750 of these done to KingAirs. So, it feels authentic... certainly moreso than the G3X default pan

There's always the blacksquare one., though you would have to copy both over to 2024, it's a blast to fly.

wait it works in 2024? I've been refraining from "dragging and dropping...waiting for dedicated installers/products. but, i love that plane and it's the one i fly most in 2020....but if it works, i may have to give it a shot. you have to copy over both? does that mean the bksq and the default from the official folder?

PS the C90 is also trash

Or with the 2020 350i, copied to 2024.

If you want a good FREE King Air 350 in FS2024 this is what you have to do.

1. Copy the default 350 from your FS2020 installation to FS2024.

2. Install only the Flight Dynamics mod by JayDee: https://flightsim.to/file/14952/king-air-350i-improvement-mod-jd

3. Install the G1000 cockpit conversion for the 350: https://flightsim.to/file/61143/king-air-350-g1000-cockpit-mod

4. Find a nice livery you like if you don't like the default: https://flightsim.to/liveries/beechcraft-king-air/

BONUS:

If you want a bit more power, you can add the Blackhawk engine conversion (just the engine.ini file) from the Realism mod:

https://flightsim.to/file/52687/asobo-king-air-350-realism-mod

You can add that engine.ini file to the JayDee mod and it works just fine. (Back up the engine.ini in the mod if you want to revert.)

Do the switches work? I remember from the default king air in 2020 half of the switches were inop...I tried this mod, but ages ago and have been using the BLSQ mostly.

@salasnet, big thx for your suggestions!

Unfortunately I don't have FS 2020 installed since I first installed FS 2024, at release, so, it's a no go for me 😞 (not going to reinstall FS 2020 only for the B350i)

I haven't flown it in 2024. How is it different from the one in 2020? The 2020 one, I remember had G3X Touch avionics which were ridiculous. Nowadays they have ProLine simulated for other aircraft, why not use that in the 350 so that it's a realistic implementation? MilViz had a good 350i in P3D v5 with ProLine avionics.

Uninstall everything, as the normal practice 😂
