Yes. I was very and vocally critical of MSFS 2024, be it about the pure existance of a new MSFS or about the disaster of a release or about the lack of actual progress in many areas compared to MSFS 2

Why is this advice always given?  What doesn't NVidia know about installing their drivers?

    its been good since release!

Ok to buy and taking your time to set up and customize to your individual preferences.  In the mean time keep 2020 as your primary. Everyone has individual limits as to the bugs they can and cannot tolerate or the third party addons that they can and cannot do without. So asking about that is purely an individual thing.

What i can say is that it appears that MSOBO is working to right the ship so that people (like me who would not switch initially) will eventually do so in a couple of service updates.

So if you plan to remain in the MSFS ecosystem getting the sim now would not be a complete waste of time. You can still get your feet wet and figure out the new quirks and features.

That's not true, If you want to fly in highly populated areas 2024 works fine

Ok, some populated areas, but not all ... Portland got ZERO love ... exact same issues as 2020.  The problems I listed in this and other threads are a lot more than "nit-pick".

Your timing is a heck of a lot better than mine was when i bought this on release, so yeah, go for it.

To the OP why don't you try for yourself and make your own decision?

In order to only try I would have to start a game pass subscription which will cost extra money. My intention is therefore to buy it without starting subscription. And I going for XBOX since I got MSFS2020 there

Go for it.  I am on my 3rd flight today in 2024.  Only did 1 a day in 2020.

80% of MSFS 2024 is better than 0%..

People from Amarillo TX?  If it doesn't affect me it's meaningless approach to life ... lets vote out Dead Los Angeles.

I uninstalled 2020 a month ago, after not using it since the 2024 release.

In the US, the firet two weeks or first month of Gamepass is $1 USD. You can try MSFS 2024 for $1 USD if you never subscribed to Gamepass before, and end the subscription before you are charged for the second month. It's a cheap way to try MSFS 2024 before you buy it.

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Ill wait till end of year

Thats what i am doing.

With my 5080 and ms2020 is running and looking amazing.

Gamepass holders also get a discount on buying games, IIRC 10%. So even at full price it is worth signing up to gamepass for a month before buying msfs.
