  • Not sure why every thread has to derail into A v B or why bother etc.   Congrats to the team at FSL. It's great to see them updating and moving into 24.

  • Sorry but late to the party. FENIX rules!!!!

I'm getting it. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition!

The process is certainly similar to what I used in P3D, but it's been such a long time that I no longer recalled it.

Yesterday I somehow managed to find my P3D notes and was able to use the same throttle calibration figures I used for P3D, but loading the aircraft was a PITA.

I know we can simply go to FUEL and PAYLOAD and load it through there, but I know I could use the ACARS system and initiate the boarding (and later the deboarding) from the MCDU OPTIONS, I just don't recall exactly how 😕

Just to check that you have seen the comprehensive tutorial? There is one for if you have GSX and another if you don't. Mine are located in this drive C:\FlightSimLabs2024\fsl-common\FSLabs\Documentation\A321

Explains the whole procedure for using ACARS.

I agree, this is a great addon. I currently have been given an A321 with inop APU so am having to work through the procedures manual for starting with an ASU! (Also provided in the above directory!)

Regarding the ACARS, I had a typo in my SimBrief user ID.... Solved now, and I can finally SYNC my last SB flightplan !

Now just wanted to find out if I should opt for the "Experimental" or the "Public" channel for this release of the A321 for FS 2024?

You're tempting me. How is it regarding FPS? And does it still have the annoying nosewheel steering lag the P3D version has? That and the lack of liveries (just 3 pages at FS.to) are my only concerns.

You can install ~125 liveries from the control centre. This is across the 4 types (W TF, Sharklelts, IAE, CFM), so there will be some duplication of carriers in that figure.

The FPS is a little heavier than the PMDG 738 in 2020. I've only had a chance to load it up once in 2024 so far, but it seemed much smoother as my 7900XT isn't so bottlenecked.

I've never noticed anything amiss with the nosewheel.

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

One feature I would really like to have, just as I have in the Fenix and the Inibuilds airbuses is a way to control, from the EFB or the MCDU, the pushback tug, as well as stairs or the jetways.

I would like to be able to opt for no cabin to save CPU / GPU because I really never go to the pax cabin views and I couldn't care less, and I'm sure it weights on the processing, although I haven't noticed any slugishness ...

I am really satisfied with my purchase !!!

It's there in the EFB working also remote and a remote MCDU check the documentation 🙂 also remote GSX to with a lot fo features 🙂

at this point in time it should make no difference as they are the same to my knowledge. From experience you can stick with experimental. I don't recall the last time it had any glaring issues.

I still can figure it out. Does FSlabs 321 has a cabin? it does if you look from oustide but then one of the view bring you all the way back to airplane and you see an empty fuselage !

It doesn't at this point. Though they promised it's on its way.

What it does have is pax windows views, that in other words is a very simplified cabin that's just as good if you want to look out of the window but wouldn't provide a more detailed internal cabin with stuff like flushing toilets and similar "study level" items.

Bought this after a long hiatus because of what happened with P3D. But a clean slate. Beautiful plane at over a $100 Canadian but no cabin at the moment.

However, the plane is not intuitive. After flying Fenix and the various incarnations of airbuses for MSFS 2020/24. The first thing is after having set up my Simbrief ID in the control center, then on the EFB although in  Briefing  it shows the Simbrief data of the flight (Summary and fuel etc.)  when I load the flp in the Navigraph button well, it doesn't load. Nothing shows up.

Then on the FMU when I access the ATSU and initialize nothing happens. No data shows up.

Can someone advise at what I might be doing wrong?

Sounds like a broken connection with simbrief. Did you enter the correct username? (it should be the username, not the pilot ID). At any rate, this should be a simple setup issue - I suggest you post on their forum and my guess is it will be resolved pretty quickly

That was the problem. I used my SimBrief XXX instead of my namedID!

Man, I do everything I can to avoid the lavs IRL. No desire to visit virtually in the least!

I’m aware the Winwing stuff is compatible with this in 2020, but can someone confirm it’s hunky dory in 2024? Thanks!

I honestly would rather prefer a cabinless aircraft, or at least an option to allow for that.... I don't want to spend any resources painting stuff I really don't need...

Exactly the same error I did, and was about to report answering to your post above, but you just figured it too 🙂
