FSLabs A321 Update - v11.0.1.302

Well, after a full flight, gate to gate, from LEMD to LPPT, using BATC and FSLTL for the ATC and traffic, I am really well impressed with my first FSLabs purchase for FS 2024 !

It handles really nice, it's very smooth, handflying feels great. Functionality is great, although I have forgotten how to properly sync my Simbrief FPLN with the MCDU, but I'll read the manuals 🙂

When the aircraft loaded for the first time a bug which I had seen reported at the forums, not with the FSLabs 321, where the toolbar becomes out of focus and you can't interact with it happened, but on the next simulator load the toolbar was back and a new Icon for FSLabs had been added.

One feature I would really like to have, just as I have in the Fenix and the Inibuilds airbuses is a way to control, from the EFB or the MCDU, the pushback tug, as well as stairs or the jetways.

I would like to be able to opt for no cabin to save CPU / GPU because I really never go to the pax cabin views and I couldn't care less, and I'm sure it weights on the processing, although I haven't noticed any slugishness ...

I am really satisfied with my purchase !!!

May be you can help me. After install I can only see CFM version. I also missing a lot of liveries that I installed via FSLabs app, but they don't show up in2024. Perhaps I installed it wrong?

  • Not sure why every thread has to derail into A v B or why bother etc.   Congrats to the team at FSL. It's great to see them updating and moving into 24.

  • Sorry but late to the party. FENIX rules!!!!

I'm getting it. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition!

I know you're a big fan of the Fenix, so it's great to hear that the FSL bird is satisfying, as well. 🙂👍

In re the cabin, I read somewhere that the LOD modeling in v2024 is hyper-aggressive (to the point some devs are frustrated with the number of LOD models they have to create vs v2020). I wonder if that obviates the performance impact of the pax cabin, since it might not even be rendered from the cockpit view...?

(I stand to be corrected)

Does anyone know how to link simbrief flight plan to EFB?

The process is certainly similar to what I used in P3D, but it's been such a long time that I no longer recalled it.

Yesterday I somehow managed to find my P3D notes and was able to use the same throttle calibration figures I used for P3D, but loading the aircraft was a PITA.

I know we can simply go to FUEL and PAYLOAD and load it through there, but I know I could use the ACARS system and initiate the boarding (and later the deboarding) from the MCDU OPTIONS, I just don't recall exactly how 😕

Sorry, just saw your post now 😕

Hmmm, I haven't yet tried to create additional liveries so I can't help right now, but as soon as I find how...

In MSFS when you select the airbus from the aircraft selection interface you then have to click in "Configuration" for further options. There you will find the engine variants I guess (?)

The tutorials cover the entire flow from cold and dark, including the full integration with GSX Pro for loading fuel, cargo, pax, and de-icing. Tip, you often have to press the 'Mech' button on the overhead to kick GSX off (the Jetway will attach.) This is the first thing I do when the flight is started.

In control centre, check you installed both the 'offensive initials not allowed' and 'Sharklets' version of the aircraft.

Lol, 'offensive initials not allowed' is Wing Tip Fence.

Thank you @flyingscampi,

problem is I don't have GSX 😕

I’d also like confirmation re: whether the Winwing hardware works? I currently have the MCDU.

Can anyone comment on this aspect please?

Yes, Wingwing hardware does work with the FSL bus. I have an FCU/left EFIS and MCDU. No issues.
However a couple of people in the FSL forum are having problems with the Winwing/FSL combination. They have reported it to Winwing who have said that the issue will be addressed in their next SimAppPro update.

This is in MSFS(2020).

Thanks for that.  Just need to decide whether to go for it or wait and see if their NEO drops soon.  I’m impatient and would like to be able to confidently land an Airbus in all weather and this sounds like it will fill that gap!

I might try FSLabs as well. Question though, did they implement weather radar?

Yes

After this new update - I'm really tempted to get this however I think NEOs won't be far behind now. Definitely getting NEOs on day one!
