June 20, 2025Jun 20 The information mentions Operations Centre 2.0, so that part at least needs to be updated. This will almost certainly be an MSFS 2024 only release. As for when it will be available to purchase, that is much less certain. I am assuming that posting that website page was an internal error by someone who pressed the wrong key, so I would not bet that the product will be released any time soon. June 20, 2025Jun 20 As much as I like PMDG products, it would have to be REALLY special for me to switch from the iFly. The iFly one more than scratches that itch for me. June 20, 2025Jun 20 I think they have a lot of catching up to do to compete with the iFlyMax. Edited June 20, 2025Jun 20 by Bobsk8
June 20, 2025Jun 20 One thing that they could do is to release a version for MSFS 2020 that works in DX11 mode. As far as I am aware, the IFly Max can only be run in DX12 mode? I guess they'd work out whether they'd make more money releasing it for both platforms against development/support costs. I am hoping it's an Expo surpise where we get more information. My gut feeling through, is since they said (I think) they aren't backporting much of the 2024 version of the 737NG to 2020, the two efforts are running in the same SDK.

June 20, 2025Jun 20 I got the iFly last Friday after some back and forth here on the forum and a good deal of thought -- after my A350 purchase I have become meticulous in research before purchasing -- and I could not be more pleased. I have done 6 full flights, including 1 transcontinental, and I am quite impressed. It is beautifully done and immersive, it sounds like the real aircraft, and the autopilot works exceptionally well, far better than the old NG. As someone else said, it would take some thing very special for me to buy a PMDG max. And I really no longer have interest in the old NGs. MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

June 20, 2025Jun 20 Why do they state that if DX12 is not required? Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
