July 3, 2025Jul 3 Author I'd say they're neck and neck frankly. I love both devs and will insta buy anything they produce. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Good to know MSFS has two top tier quality developers in Blacksquare and A2A to develop GA planes. Edited July 3, 2025Jul 3 by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
July 3, 2025Jul 3 The Starship is the first BS aircraft I've owned and it's made me a convert, through and through. This looks like an amazing project. The fact that it's mostly one guy is so impressive.

I'd say they're peers, for sure. And most likely the top tier of all GA devs. It's hard to make a 1:1 comparison since they haven't really produced the same kinds of planes (tho that is changing now with the A2A Aerostar's release). Also when BS releases their Bonanza (which A2A did in P3D), which will compare directly to the A2A Comanche. Painting with a very broad brush, A2A probably has a more well rounded flight model. And they've been at it for over 20 years, so more experience in general. Avionics and such most likely go to BS, particularly given all the high end custom electronics in the BS Starship (which should be thought of as an airliner in terms of complexity). BS has a lot more experience with turboprops, as well. Tho A2A have produced those for .mil contracts... Safe to say that you can't go wrong with either dev, and maybe on flight model (tho it would likely be in fairly subjective areas).
