July 4, 2025Jul 4 I am eagerly waiting for a realistic geared turboprop model: in the real TPE331, pulling back the condition levers in flight would slow the gas stream through the engine core. As a result, the temperature of the hot section would rise so much that the engine got on fire. The Garrett's have a lot of power but need good management. I've also had these in MU2's. They are real performance engines. The worst thing was re- starting them when hot. We always rotated the props manually to get some airflow through the engine time and time again before trying a start.

Yea, it is clear the old Blacksquare makeovers are not coming forward and that makes sense. It was a reason I did not invest into them. But their TBM and the Dukes, which came out just over six months before 2024, should come forward and need just some compatibility work. It is not to trivialize the work that is needed but surely it is less than developing whole new aircraft. Once these much appreciated aircraft are back in my hanger I will consider other Blacksquare products. MSFS 2024. I'm not sure what Nick's timeline is for this stuff. The dynamic registration stuff is partially on asobos end IMO. Or mostly. They touted backwards compatibility but clearly the custom HTML UI stuff isn't working. What's really odd is that it works if you start on the runway but not on the ramp. Other than DR the dukes and TBM work fine (yes the TBM needs sound from 2020 - but I think the plan was to have Boris do TBM 850 sound eventually). Boris is also very busy hehe so not sure if that is going to happen anytime soon. To skip out on future products because the products which were released for 2020 (and where we all previously enjoyed them for quite some time) seems short sighted. Black Square has updated past products a few times already. Again id voice your concerns at the JF forums - that's the best place. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Yes, this is a good point and I will try to do that this weekend. 25 minutes ago, ryanbatc said: To skip out on future products because the products which were released for 2020 (and where we all previously enjoyed them for quite some time) seems short sighted. Yes, and no. I want to invest in developers that are invested in their products, that keep them up to date, keep them available and continue to advance them. So, if Blacksquare is not one of these, if they are focused on continually releasing new aircraft, then I am not so interested in getting more of them. I am not criticizing the approach it is just not for me. I can see some people like a very large hanger and trying many new aircraft -- and an argument is to be made that this is what a simulator allows -- but I tend to stick to a few aircraft and to learn and use them very well, my hanger grows exceptionally slowly. I am very happy to pay for the compatibility, I do not think or want developers to work for free or for next to nothing -- but I do want to see a commitment in action to bringing these aircraft forward. July 4, 2025Jul 4 Waiting for this, which was posted on their forum a couple of hours ago. Black Square Black Square Developer wrote about 4 hours agolast edited by #5 The Baron and Bonanza will be the first of the Professional Series, so hopefully within the next couple of months. They are all done except paint and sounds, both of which are well underway. There was lots of excitement about these aircraft at Flight Sim Expo, which has given me a renewed excitement for them, as well!
