Not sure of it's direct relevance to MSFS, But I'm betting that some of you out there will be interested in fiddling around with it just to see what happens.

I don't think it is relevant at all because the article you linked said that it "is generally ideal for older applications that don't support NVIDIA's DLSS...."  That said, I guess you could use TAA and see how it works.

Couldn't find it to download in the Nvidia maze! Sigh ....

 

Found it and installed... will see what the results are!

Not the driver for me sadly... massive purple flickering on screen in MSFS2024.. rolled back...

I guess it has no relevance for MSFS, because you already get officiall DLSS frame generation for RTX 4xxx series cards anyway. For games not supporting any frame generation so far, it is probably a nice addition.

i have 5070 ti and find fsr 3 FG better.

So is this new thing not a thing for MSFS 2020 with frame gen already an option in the system? or can this still be used?

It's in fact completely irrelevant. You just have to read the article completely. Smooth Motion is not meant for games that already have DLSS.

I think I read that the smooth motion generation will be compatible with Vulkan. Would be this beneficial for X-Plane 12 as well? Btw I also use Lossless Scaling but when good things are built in, the better.

Yes, but lossless scaling is better.
