Some people are sensitive to it, others aren’t. And again, it depends on screen size, and your sensitivity to it. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Unfortunately, even in this short video, we notice problems at 4:17 or 4:18 when a water texture pops up, at 4:38 on the right side of the screen, we see some building or tower appearing, at 6:25, there are some cars popping in the parking lot, and at 6:29, some objects appear on taxiways... As you mentioned, for you, "it's a complete non-issue," but for many of us, it is. Statements like this, in my opinion, don't help while this problem is widespread, and there's no solution to fix it. I don't 'choose' to ignore it. There simply is hardly any of it everywhere I fly so on the rare occasion it happens it's very easy to ignore. You deeply scrutinized the video and cited a couple of instances of what were possible pop-ins. I say that because I saw a few visual aberrations as well but they did not appear to be pop-ins--they were changes in lighting/reflection. The very obvious flaw in your claim of just how bad this is the fact the OP, who was clearly so sensitized to this issue, DID NOT SEE ANY ISSUES in the video, which was massively more demanding than was the video he linked where pop-ins were very obvious. If you're going to fly low and fast with a 1660ti and that processor then I think you're going to have problems. MSFS2020 can certainly work well with low end hardware but there will be limitations that have to be expected. I don't have 2020 anymore but I used to run it on an i7 3930k and an rtx2070 with ddr3. It can be done. I would also caution against taking advice on this forum from people who's outlook is entirely negative....

I have spent tens of hours in optimizing the game and my low end PC, so its good to skip this rabbithole. Its just super annoying, seems they wont fix it. Maybe I should check the Xplane12😆 Your system is indeed very weak by today's standards. Ultimately this is the source of your woes and why you saw essentially no pop-ins in a very demanding scenario on the video I posted. TLOD for me on that video in that lightweight jet was 150 on the ground. So its weak but it should be enough. I dont also recall that this has been this bad before. And the problem occurs with every setting higher or minimized. Im not flying low but in final approach atleast in Helsinki EFHK I have these terrible pop ins/diseapparing all the time

But it cant be because of the system if I can play with 50fps and medium settings? Or there must be something I can setup then?

Sure. Otherwise everyone could use weak hardware and have stellar performance. Put another way, would you rather have no pop-ins, and run at 30FPS? What I could try tocget that? I dont understand the first sentence at all, sorry..

August 8, 2025Aug 8 Yup, instant LOD popup or change is like a pitchfork in the eye for me. This should not be a noticeable thing in today's computing age IMO. FS2024 remains my worst game purchase ever.
