Awwww bad luck. Mine was one of the later Need for Speeds. The early ones were so much better I think.

There must be something I can do for this

Let’s see. You’re using lossless scaling to double your frames right?

Tell us something about the screen your pc is driving. What resolution is it and what is the refresh rate?

Thanks man! Yes lossles scaling, I tried without it too, no help. Also I tried without autofps, didn't help.

For the record, I don’t try and bash Anything or sway anyone anywhere. I simply express my opinion, and that is an issue for some fully grown adults here who can’t seem to comprehend that, so in return they start throwing insults such as the above. (And I only saw Noel’s comment because blueshark747 quoted it, as he is on my block list for the exact reasons listed above).

I only have one thing to say, grow up. If you can’t handle other opinions, don’t engage in the debate.

OP:  be aware IanRS does everything possible to bash MS/Asobo and sell XP12 every chance he gets--it's why he's in this thread.

Absolute ignorance of the highest level Noel. Grow up.

I see you’re still down the rabbit hole. Let me know when you’ve finished and come to your conclusion. I think that you’ll still have scenery pop in, simply because of the fact it is an Asobo issue. It has nothing to do with other sims (as Noel would have you believe).

I agree, no need for that, just lets solve this issue for the first time, together! 😄

Couple of shots of snake oil, few folks telling you to buy a better system. And a few reckless adults telling you I’m selling XP12. For the record I have a 5090, 9850X3D, and have scenery popping. (I also have rubbish fps in XP12 at heavy areas, because that isn’t optimised properly yet).  I also have a masters degree in IT. So am I doing something wrong? Or, is it Asobo? I know what I think…but you’re free to make up your own opinion/mind. Again, some People are not sensitive to this issue, which is great, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist! And if you view a few more YouTube videos, and in fact even some official Microsoft sim trailers, you will see that this issue has been ongoing for some time, and the new LOD system in 2024 has actually exacerbated this issue, because it’s really not as bad in 2020 as it is in 2024.

Ps, now watch the replies below and how some adults here can’t handle my opinion. They’ll probably try and discredit me, or call me names, or mis quote me in some way. It’s so immature.

So for real theres nothing I can do to even mitigate this effect? Its so terrible, and I have hard time dealing with this😆😆

not that @Ianrivaldosmith needs my, or anyone else's support, I'd just like to add that I have always had these "popping" issues, along with the LOD issues, right from the start with 2024. I don't particularly recall it happening in 2020, and although I still have a fully functional 2020 system in place alongside my 2024 system I haven't gone back to check it out.

Although I also have a largish monitor (55 inch) and am very aware of the popping, most of the time I can live with it. I'd rather not have to, but it doesn't ruin the "immersion" for me as I'm not really using this as a "flight" simulator, in that I'm not trying to emulate any sort of experience of being in a cockpit and actually flying anywhere. So all the runway signs and other airport stuff that pops in and out doesn't really worry me. I'm mostly interested in the scenery, and the popping is less obvious to me in most of that environment - airports are where it seems to be worst and I'm not really bothered about airports in thatr way. Sure, I've got hundreds of addon airports, but I'm more interested in them from a drone cam point of view.

For me personally, the benefits of the world environment in 2024 (and 2020) far outweigh such problems, even though they are extrememly annoying and are things that I consider should never have appeared in a production product.

I also run XP12,but a lot less so, simply because I don't have the time and mental capacity to get in to setting that up to max visual capability. I was happy with XP11 but MSFS came along before XP12 and so all my attention has been taken up with this environment now.

As others have said, all sims have their own issues. You pays your money, you takes your choice.

Me, I have most of them but for now I can live with 2024's issues more readily.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Yes, quite an interesting individual. What would be the reason behind his odd behaviour is beyond understanding with statements like:

I'm one of those people in these forums Who claim they don't see it.

Perhaps he likes to argue or get into unproductive statements regardless of what many people see.
For sure, he needs to take a few notches down; it does not help or fix the issue.

One thing your hardware combo isn't gonna do is brute force mask/minimize the issue ....😅

1080p 165hz mode is absolutely pounding your CPU.

Not sure what else you're expecting here at this point?

Of all levels of hardware firepower of course your system will struggle with the pop in the most!

Who knows when MS/Asobo will finally develop optimizations to tackle and completely minimize the issue.

Good luck!
