August 8, 2025Aug 8 For some the issue is enough that they need to switch to a lesser simulator. For others, it is a non issue. Either they don't see it or it just doesn't happen with their set up. I belong to the latter camp. I have gone out of my way to look for it after seeing threads like this and if I have it at all, it is minimal, rare and not something which has any effect on my enjoyment of the simulator. If it is a deal-breaker for you then other simulators are available apparently, but it's not something that all of us are seeing or are affected by. Which means it won't be a priority for the developer to 'fix', understandably. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

It's better when at smaller airfields but there is no escaping the poor LOD coding overall, it's been an issue since release so we just have to deal with it, they'll never get it "right". Thanks for answer you and everyone! I have TLOD at 500ft at 20 when landing, where I cant see even further. I tried with minimym tlod 50 and 60 in autofps, and I still had this issue. So I dont think its about TLOD value?
August 8, 2025Aug 8 I am aware of these "popup" problems, but (thankfully) it does not affect me to any great extent. I probably do not see some of it, as I am always in the cockpit during my flights. The delayed render of parts of an island (or coastline) that results in trees appearing to be floating in the air is annoying, so I could do with a solution for that! I am not sure why some people have TLOD set so low. I have it FIXED at 250 on my PC, and I do not have any problems. Hi, I dont find the TLOD higher needed for low altitudes, I have optimized it to show as far as I can see at any moment and not further to get more FPS. Im also in cockpit and in the planes front I see the trees/buildings disappearing or changing models, super immersion breaking! This happens during final approach around 1500-300ft altitudes I dont know about ur problem, I have understood its new problem in SU16 and known widely, so surely it will be fixed soon! I havent noticed this before but now I do, and I cant unsee it!!😆 higher TLOD or 200 OLOD didnt help either.. This is my experience, too. You need higher LOD's to prevent these pop ins, but that comes at a cost of stuttering, especially when panning. It wouldnt be so bad if they had an alpha fade in to make the sudden appearance of objects less noticeable. The new SU3 has improved things over the last beta iteration, but still some way to go. i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Thanks, with 100tlod at landing I get stutters, and 60tlod didnt seem to help at all. Maybe I should try without autofps
August 8, 2025Aug 8 What is your system specification, and at what screen resolution do you run the simulator? Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

August 8, 2025Aug 8 And the rabbit hole begins haha. It is an Asobo problem; you either learn to ignore it and look the other way or migrate elsewhere. Trust me, you can try millions of tips, tricks, and mods, and the issue will still persist. Only Asobo can fix it. I am hypersensitive to it, and I have tried everything to no avail. More power to those who learn to live with it and look the other way. I can not do that. PS I am on a huge 65-inch screen, so it may be more noticeable to me. Does you absolutely no favours. There is nothing 'lesser' about the other simulators. Each has pros and cons. It is as simple as that, really.

Thanks for saving me from this trouble! I have spent tens of hours in optimizing the game and my low end PC, so its good to skip this rabbithole. Its just super annoying, seems they wont fix it. Maybe I should check the Xplane12😆

I looked into youtube, and videos of final approach msfs2020 dont have this problem, there must be something what helps to mitigate it or something, I cant😭🤣
