Considering that I get a forced PC reboot trying to load MSFS 2020 in DX11 mode with the legendary 566.36 drivers, I am not convinced that it has anything to do with Nvidia.

Yep, I have the same, had to go to check on Google map does Amsterdam got that kind of thing. Nope. Also in EFHK there are buildings on the threshold of runway 15. They were not there before. Somebody or something has built them. SU 16?

Isn't it great when you find fixes for stuff like this? It's like a huge weight gets lifted from my shoulders every time. Another example would be the demolition of those two tall towers on the approach to runway 24L/R at LEBL Barcelona.

Since SU6, my sim has crashed every single time I've taken a long-haul flight in T7, and I haven't been able to pinpoint the error. I've experienced more crashes since the update than in the five years following the game's release.

I'm really fed up with Microsoft. They are so sloppy with both their operating system and their software that I would be fired after a few days if I worked like this.

In any case, I am putting my planned update to MSFS 2024 on hold until there is a decent patch for SU16 that doesn't break anything for once.

588.88 was the issue for me.

Microsoft/Asobo disabled streamed ground texture tiles higher than Zoom Level 18 in Sim Update 16. FS2024 has *ALWAYS* been limited to Zoom Level 18. Why did they do this? Xbox. Before SU16 FS2020 was streaming in ground scenery tiles up to Zoom Level 20, especially in places like the South of France, Los Angeles, The Greek islands, Many European alps, etc. The source imagery isn't solely the problem, it is in many areas where coverage is lacking or none existent but the main issue is the deliberate disabling of ZL20 tiles. This is why the developer of MSFS Map Enhancement had to release an update over a week ago as "high LOD" tiles were no longer supported in the SU16 beta (over on flightSim.to you can check the latest change log of the MSFS Map Enhancement Tool) . This was/is one of the reasons I never purchased 2024, I simply didn't like the way the ground imagery looked, however the biggest reason was because everything including aircraft was being streamed into the sim; that's a no go for me. I have always flown MSFS 2020 on my 70” QLED 4K Samsung tv/monitor in it’s native 4K resolution, this Zoom Level/LOD limitation in SU16 sticks out like a sore thumb for me.

However I am trying this after upgrading to the latest NVidia driver and running a test as I'm currently in China and some people are having issues with traffic injection (FSLTL / Beyond ATC etc) in the far east.

All my crashes happen with Beyond over Urumqi when travelling from Frankfurt to Shanghai.

I just flew RCTP-KLAX with the A350 and had no problems at all.

Beyond has also consistently deteriorated since the LLM update. 😕

I'm also with the OP,
my impression is that if you fly high (airliner, IFR) bings texture quality is worse since SU16. Blurry and kind of hazy (even with clear weather). LODs to limited, get's even more washed out in the near distance.
If you fly low (VFR, or during approach) the SU16 textures look a bit better than before. I guess for VFR flyers this is an improvement. When flying airliners most of the time, the MSFS2020 pre SU 16 was better.

I just turned off traffic injection in Beyond and it worked fine for ZUCK to ZBAA, flight completed, other traffic injection programs have the same issue like FSLTL.

There was an update this morning so might have fixed the voice issues.
