2024 spamming!

Featured Replies

Is anyone else being spammed by 2024 since SU3? At every startup an Airshow Assistant v3 tells me there's an update for me. I don't HAVE AA V anything and I don't want it. But how to get rid of this irritation? Beats me.

Not seeing this behavior when I launch my copy.

Yes, I'm seeing it too. I have Airshow Assistant, and I'm pretty sure I updated it in MSFS2024, but I'm still getting that message pop up. Not sure what to do about it - will post here if I find out.

Cheers Paul. It doesn't take much to irritate me these days. 😁

I could understand that if it was a paid for product. But it's FREE. Unless I'm missing something.

And perhaps they consider that to be a permission....

Got the little sod! Go to Market place\My Library\Find Airshow\If it's disabled(probably is) Enable it. Go back to the main window and obey the instruction to get the update. Back in My Library Disable it. Next time you fire up the sim it will be gone. Well, it was for me. 😀

Every little victory helps.

EDIT: I forgot. Disable is tucked away under 'Other options' 🙄

Title of this discussion should be updated as it seems 100% related to Airshow Assistant (spamming) isn't it?

It’s not just with that. I have a plane I purchased in 2020 that now has a 2024 version available which I don’t want to upgrade. Every time I load into 2024, it notifies in the messages that there is a 2024 version available. So I have to delete it every single time, otherwise my inbox fills up with that same message. It’s irritating and needs to be fixed.

Edited by Gulf76

Roger that! I though it was a Airshow Assistant addons generated pop up message. Just by curiosity, why wouldn't you update a plane for your MSFS2024 version when there's one available? Because it's a paid version ? If you update it you loose the MSFS2020 version in case you're still running the two MSFS version, is that it?
