September 4, 2025Sep 4 Agree, the AB preset video is actually worse as an advertisement compared to the other vids in this thread using the same preset. Bad marketing. I am conviced nevertheless, off goes my money 🤣 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
September 4, 2025Sep 4 Just blunt honest criticism here... That Aviation Bros preset looks terrible as if you're flying on some sort of "magic shroom dream" and actually makes default colors look stunning in comparison.🤣 Sucks that was even posted and is gonna be a potential ATMOS Core customers first impression.😵 That video just isn't it unfortunately... September 4, 2025Sep 4 ok. loaded AB preset like others. Is there a way to turn all on and all off without quitting the software The is a reset button but nothing to put them all back on that I see Great, now it just keeps crashing / ok Re installed Edited September 4, 2025Sep 4 by Ron Lefebvre Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. September 4, 2025Sep 4 I see the top presets seem to be LUPO Enhanced Realism. on the program's opening page. Any opinions on that set?
September 4, 2025Sep 4 For me that AB video actually sold it. Previously I had watched easyjet simpilot's review of the pre-release version and based on that I was absolutely not going to buy due to not much really noticeable except the clouds seemed to get more blown out than default. The AB video made it look much better. September 5, 2025Sep 5 Nice Software, Well layout once you understand the principle. I stand by my first thoughts though. If you use reshade, the extra changes you can get from RexAmos are pretty small. If you don't use reshade. its really good. Price is ok. Easier to use then Reshade I think. I like it enough to keep it on. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
September 5, 2025Sep 5 Hey guys, I am AviationBros and made this video. It is just a starting point for people who are curious, you don't have to love it. It just shows what it looks like with my preset in a side by side comparison. There is so much customization, and you can make your own presets if you desire. I also use my own ReShade, and there is a difference between the two apps. ReShade is just a filter overlayed onto the sim, but Rex Atmos Core actually interacts with it and changes the atmosphere, sky, etc. Also it adds a lot on top of ReShade, atleast in my opinion with my ReShade preset I created. I personally like it because the day time looks to bright in my opinion, sunsets aren't my favorite, and clouds can get very dark, and it fixes the sepia mask. I feel like this does a similar job to MSFS2024 as the one in MSFS2020 did. I really like the new effects and it's obviously fine if you don't, it is just a comparison video showing off some off Rex Atmos Core's capabilities and it hopefully helps people who want a little more information about Rex Atmos Core if they're considering purchasing it. And also these types of videos are a bit different from our previous, specifically these last two so there is still lots of room for improvement in the future. Hope you at least enjoyed the video style, even if Rex Atmos Core isn't exactly what you're looking for.
September 5, 2025Sep 5 And also, this is just an example, the default sim may look better to some, but I tried to make it more realistic. As you can see in the real picture at the bottom, it isn't that bright and that is what I aimed for in my Rex Atmos Core preset and what Rex Atmos Core can fix.
September 5, 2025Sep 5 Ok, please Rex, highlight it or put a tick next to the preset I am using. It gets really confusing when you are trying different sets and adding them to your favourites to know which one you are actually using. Seems like a basic requirement to me. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

September 5, 2025Sep 5 I have just tried this for MSFS2024, and to my surprise, adding a tiny fraction of fog creates a thick fog layer. In MSFS2020 it was possible to add a tiny light fog layer in the distance, creating a, in my view, more realistic visibility range. This does, alas, not seem possible in MSFS2024. I am disappointed.
September 5, 2025Sep 5 I absolutely like the AB preset, only the global illumination setting is to dark for my taste, I increased this to have a slightly brighter image. But it is for sure a game changer for me, now I do not have to care anymore if stupid nVIDIA makes their filters work again 😉 BUT: again, the GUI and the logic behind applying presets etc. is an absolute CATASTROPHY. REX obviously didnt learn anything from their disastrous GUIs over the past. It is absolutely conter-intuitive how this works and how you properly apply presets and save changes. Took me quiet some time to get the hang of it... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
