Is AIG then the better option? Do their planes take off and land accordingly ?

  • I don't see random planes taking off from and flying in opposite directions.  BATC uses only its own ATIS and whatever that looks at so you will have BATC directing you to runways that FSLTL isn't usi

  • After having used BATC with SU4 and FSLTL, today I'll reinstall FSHUD and give it a go with the FLTL injector 🙂

I use FSLTL and FSHUD in MSFS2024 (SU4!) and see plenty of planes taking off and landing.....

Did landings work for you in SU3? I'm wondering whether SU4 has fixed it.

Landings were fine as well. I would plane spot, and liked the puffs of dirt/rain as the wheels hit the tarmac. I have flown airports where there seemed to be almost a conga line in the sky, with planes landing just as soon as the runway was cleared, which I attribute to FSHUD.

Or having the FSHUD tell me I was third (or whatever) in line for landing, and seeing the blinking lights of the plane in front of me.

The only niggle I have is that despite intermittent promises, FSHUD has not given clear and concise instructions/directions for the recommended settings in MSFS2004, and definitely not for the newest sim settings added in SU3

Trial and error time, though I think I have it down now.

I never remember exactly how to set the sir Traffic settings in FSHUD 🥴

When I first used it with FS 2020 it didn't have it's own Traffic injection só se had to use FSLTL.

Then along the update history, autonomous Traffic injection came as a new feature.

When I reinstalled it today I configured the FSLTL injector through it's console Windows for a given number of active and parked aircraft, and then in the FSHUD settings I set External, and no other Traffic, but if I move the sliders for active and parked aircraft that I thought were meant only for the built in traffic injector, the displayed aircraft are affected?

Doesn't FSHUD provide a manual?

Well its more complicated now....

First, FSHUD overrides any other settings.

FSLTL feeds FSHUD, but then FSHUD decides what to do with that data based on its own settings.

External is not correct. The only setting you need to click is Simulator traffic

Under Online settings, Aircraft traffic type is OFF

Under GRAPHICS and GLOBAL RENDERING QUALITY

  • Parked aircraft quantity: OFF
  • Aircraft Traffic quantity: OFF
  • Other settings as you prefer.

EDIT: BY the way, under ASSISTANCES Turn off  AI RADIO COMMINICATIONS or the default ATC will still blather nonsense at you.

Thx @HiFlyer,

The FS side I have it properly configured. It's only in FSHUD itself.

I'll try your suggestion 🤞🙏

Kind of, but its heavily oriented towards MSFS2020.

The MSFS2024 information is not only out of date but actively incomplete and confusing.

I see, the developer takes an upgrade fee (2020->2024) but doesn't deliver basic support what settings in msfs2024 would fit best? There is no support forum, only discord with one #msfs2024 thread with hundreds of posts ... I'm not a friend of discord anyway - never understood how this does replace a classical support forum? Maybe, I simply have an outdated opinion about the meaning of support. Additionally,  FSHud Discord asks for my phone number = No Go. I haven't see this with other Sim related channels.

On the discord, I have seen them promise to produce a more coherent set of MSFS2024 Instructions, but from my standpoint, it doesn't seem to be as urgent a priority as one might hope.

Discord is IMH a completely useless platform for forum-like support.

Is and has been FS2024 problem from the beginning and haven't been fixed by asobo.

Why would Asobo fix a problem with FSLTL traffic?  I would think this one would be on FSLTL to fix, since the issue only affects traffic injected by FSLTL (I do get landing traffic when using the MSFS default AI traffic)

It isn't an FSLTL problem. ALL AI traffic that have multi LODs are effected by the aggressive LODs that Asobo has changed in an effort to improve performance at the cost of image quality.
