December 31, 2025Dec 31 I admit I'm easy to please but I just luv the KBJC 30R RNAV coming in from the West. The PROPAIR airport is also a treat. dd
December 31, 2025Dec 31 I enjoy that as well and it's only a few miles from my home so I frequently ride my moto to the airport just for a fun loop to ride. I don't know what Propair did or didn't do with their KSGU but BATC can't tell it's at a runway threshold when there, and GSX pax march on top of its one jetway and near as I can tell from trying to fix that following the GSX manual it doesn't fix. I won't buy another product from them unless they supply a GSX profile with the airport as I think they must be deviating from some very critical elements to adhere to in airport creation. January 1Jan 1 I nominate the ENLK Leknes RNP runway 20 approach. Stunning scenery and a nice handcrafted airport included with MSFS.

January 1Jan 1 EDDH Hamburg, coming in for runway 33 (not the preferred runway). Do it on a foggy day or with a cloud base that goes up to 1500. It is stunning! Your ILS final is over some rising hills, where AGL gets to almost 500' ..... (have faith in that ILS!)..... Then, you disappear into the low clouds and soon after reach the threshold. It's an interesting, 'hilly' ILS in any weather, but with low clouds it's beautiful. I only flew and discovered it today! January 1Jan 1 ZSAM is awesome you fly into and over Xiamen city which is on an island connected to different parts of the Chinese mainland.
January 1Jan 1 I enjoyed a recent approach into LIRZ RWY 1 in foggy conditions. Mountains in area as well. Very challenging!

I keep telling myself I need to do some flying in Colombia, then forget the next time I start the sim. Ironic, since here I am promoting approaches in Norway, and the approaches in Colombia are essentially "Norway, just with density altitude". Thanks, I won't forget this time!
January 1Jan 1 Paro (VQPR) Runway 15, Innsbruck (LOWI), either runway, preferably in cloudy conditions, and Kathmandu (VNKT), I'm still trying to master that circling approach. January 1Jan 1 Without a doubt the LOC DME EAST into Innsbruck LOWI with the visual circling to runway 08.
January 1Jan 1 As a former Colorado resident, the RNAV Rwy 9 approach into KTEX (Telluride, CO) is, of course, a long time favorite, but I recently flew the RNAV Rwy 4 approach into KCOD (Cody, Wy) and it ranks right up there. Descending east out of the Yellowstone caldera over a narrow valley cutting through the Absaroka Range is stunning. Unlike Telluride where the ending is even more spectacular than the start, the final approach into Cody is nothing special, but the lead up to it is a lot of fun. Well worth a flight in the sim! January 1Jan 1 How refreshing to find a post in which simmers provide helpful information on how better to enjoy their simming, rather than slamming each other for their opinions or preferences for a particular flight sim, an aircraft, or a particular developer. Keep it up! Rich
January 1Jan 1 Queenstown, New Zealand With a big airliner missing rhe mountains and coming in over the water. Simply amazing I know you asked about approaches but taking off at Placeville, CA in a GA plane with the mountain drop and following it is my second favorite thing to do. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
January 1Jan 1 I like the RNAV 10 approach at LIMJ Genoa. Hugging the mountains to the left, and then a right turn over the harbour to line up with the runway. The 09 approach to LXGB Gibraltar is also a good one, although I frequently make the mistake of not turning quite enough, and end up having to make a few late corrections! Very scenic approach.
