chaseplane camera's and buttons

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I've sent an email to parallel 42 regarding this but just wondering while i get a reply if anyone knows a fix for this.

I'm trying to setup my cameras and buttons for my aircraft  now i've setup one how i want it (the fenix a320 cfm with sharklets) all good, however I also want to use these same views and buttons for another fenix a320 with sharklets.

I went through the process of exporting the first one and saving it on my hard drive. I then setup my next  a320 and went to import the cameras and buttons to this aircraft  but on completion none of the buttons or views are set.

any idea?

I really do not want to go through every aircraft and variation  of that if i can help it

Thanks

After you load a new plane and open the Chaseplane window, go to the camera window and hover over "create." Should now give you option to "import" and your previously configured A320 should be listed under Similar Aircraft. Choose it and import making sure to replace the default views with your own views.

Think that's what you're trying to do.

No need to export.

Load the new plane. At the bottom of the first Chase Plane column hover over the green + and then click import. Then select a previously configured aircraft from the displayed list. The choices will be "similar aircraft" followed by a list of aircraft already configured.

Chaseplane is completely and utterly broken... was a complete waste of money for me... :(

I've used it with MSFS2020 for many months now and it is brilliant wouldn't sim without it.  Yes to fully explore it in 2024 but as far as I can tell it works the same way.

So far I have not encountered any issue in FS2024.
(Also used it for a long time in FS2020)

Maybe elaborate a tiny bit on what exactly is 'completely and utterly broken'....

exactly this. Just saying it's broken won't get you a lot of help.
Of course it doesn't help that P42 have closed off any user to user help on their discord and so unless people raise a ticket they're left to search round elsewhere for help. Simple things like how to import and export don't need a ticket that's a waste of Devs time exactly what they're trying to avoid by "going to the bunker"

I don't find the previous speaker's style particularly impressive enough to comment further.

As for ChasePlane, I haven't encountered any showstoppers in my extensive use of MSFS 2024 so far.

And I find the user interface absolutely perfectly conceived and designed.

I'll pass on my ideas/wishes to the team. Discord is nice and all – but a written word remains a written word, no matter where I send it 😉 Where's the problem? 😁

ChasePlane is great! For those who don’t like beta testing (they made it very clear that this is an experimental version), just uninstall it and wait for final release.

Agreed! And I'm glad they got rid of clicking the MMB to bring up the interface! I had a heck of a time with that!
