January 19Jan 19 I just picked up the next gen emb-110 for a few dollars from the market place. Before people jump on the " this is junk" bandwagon, I must say that for the money, this aircraft is a wonderful--no stress-- twin turbo to fly short flights on a moment's notice. Everything seems to work, that is, the basic stuff such as autopilot and other main features, all seem to work fine. In a matter of minutes, I can fly a short run, even manually, and have a lot of fun taking off and landing. In manual mode, the aircraft stays level nicely and takeoff and landing behavior is somwhat realistic. Acceleration and deceleration appear to be pretty good. Sounds are not the best, but then I've come to accept less than perfect sounds in most msfs aircrafts. The cockpit all analog layout is a beauty--at least for those of us who still favor analog guages. Yes, I have the high fidelity aircrafts from PMDG and others, but at times I want to be a lazy pilot, that is, plan an easy gps flight that takes less than one hour so that I can then go to my other family obligations. This aircraft allows me to do that time and time again. A sign of a good aircraft is one that you don't mind loading the sim with after the first time. I am old sim veteran, so I give this aircraft a strong 4 for things just feeling right--- unlike a virtualcol aircraft, which never gets its flight model right. This aircraft is not perfect, but for the money it provides a lot of band. Even the beta reverse work well. Please be forewarned that if you're looking for a PMDG or Fenix at this price, you'll be disappointed. This is a much, much better aircraft than many of Asobo default aircrafts.
January 19Jan 19 Is that the new version? They have announced an upgrade for 2024 that should come out fairly soon. I am just waiting for that. Peter

January 19Jan 19 Looking forward to the next version when it comes out. About 30 years ago I flew the E110 for approx 2000 hours.
January 19Jan 19 I will probably pick it up when the new version comes out, see the link with info below: NextGen Simulations breaks silence with EMB 110 V2 announcement and Saab updates - MSFS Addons Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
January 19Jan 19 The Next Gen EMB110 carries the award of being the first ever aircraft addon I bought in MSFS 2020, 5 years ago. It came out really early after the release of 2020. It was a real mess to begin with but they updated it many times and the last time I flew it (around 3 years ago) it was a very stable platform and good fun to get the basic twin turbo-prop vibe. I think a 2024 update will need considerably better texturing, modelling and sounds though.
