Thanks but is there anything I should know? Where do I find Fenix manuals for setting things up?

YouTube is the best manual, at least for me.  I watched quite a few Airbus tutorials - this one was by far the best.  It's an English guy, but the procedures transfer just fine to USA flying.  This "Airbus Cockpit Coach" has an entire playlist of videos.  You'll definitely want to invest some time in learning them if you have no Airbus "stick time" hehe.  FWIW I still prefer General Aviation flying, even after trying very hard to get into airliners.

Thanks Ryan. Way back in the day, I think FSX, I had FSLabs’ A319 and I knew it backwards and forwards. Too many years have passed on PMGS’s planes. I’ll have a look.

I've never been an Airbus guy.... (but I did buy the Fenix last month) and only occasionally flew the PMDG stuff in FSX and MSFS 2020.  I haven't bought the 24 version yet (but there are some stunning paints that tempt me!)  I will likely get the -700 cause of the BBJ which I think suits the 700 better than the 800.

When you first load into the Fenix, one of the first things you'll need to do is to go to the MCDU (the FMS) and press the MENU button, then the CONFIG menu and set up your throttle for the detents. (Press "*calibrate")  Without this calibration, the detents can be quite off.   Takes 2 mins and then works great.

Then you'll have little trouble getting back into Fenix. There's not that much that is different. If you knew the 319 really well, I bet you'll be totally familiar with the new planes in a day or two . If you get stuck come and ask us.

Oh look, another user who instead of going to the website of the product he just bought and look through their knowledge- and support database, comes to a forum and asks others to do all the research for them.

How unsurprising...

You know, there are people who don't like learning from tutorials and prefer things to be explained to them in a more personal way. There's nothing wrong with that.

And on the other hand, there are people who like to explain, to take the time to answer others without judging them. And those are precious people.

And then there are others, like you, who don't like to help but love to criticize, bash and belittle.

That's what makes a forum so charming. ☺️
