There is a huge topic on the official forum regarding performance. It looks like that new update + PW is a culprit. Hopefully, there would be a remedy.

It is - as a new user of the FSLabs Neo I installed it last night and presumed I was on the latest version - performance was great. As it turned out I needed to be on the "Experimental" branch and an update came through - since then performance has tanked while looking backwards in the cockpit and also in external views. Presumably it's to do with the cabin - hopefully they rectify it sooner rather than later.

Yep was just going to add that the cabin might have actually made it worse. I'm mainly looking at the comments here: https://fselite.net/content/fslabs-updates-a321neo-adds-pratt-whitney-engines-in-free-update/

To be totally honest, as a Fenix lover who is just a bit impatient I'm merely looking for reasons to *not* buy the FSL. But they aren't making it a tough decision either, so ... I guess I will just be happy and wait for Fenix.

looking at some of the files in the FSLabs A321-NEO\Texture  folder they are some DDS files around 87 mb. 

im not expert at all but that seems massive ?   the files in the fenix folders are half that  at 40 mb 

I haven't the patience to try betas or 'Experimental branches' so I thank all those who do!

The update is impressive. It has LR version included also with PW and it supports x8 acceleration that means plenty of short-haul Trans Atlantic flights.

I hope that they will remove the cabin (I HATE this new fashion of terminal interiors and fancy cabins), and VRAM usage will return to normal. Or someone would send me a check for $3k for 5090.

Maybe it was a deliberate strategy to roll out this version and see what customers would say. All this BS like "clean up your Community Folder and restart your PC" is definitely a sign that they expected such sh@t storm.

Probably why despite my lower mid level machine performance was fine.  Because I was on the old model.  From the post above I will try and fetch the "Experimental" build.

Yeah don't tell this old timer how to setup a PC and MSFS 🤣
I have pretty high settings almost all ultra. But AI Traffic and TLOD you have to be cautious because FPS will go down the drain fast.

And yes VRAM is important (RTX4080S is 16GB and even not all available for MSFS) that's why I don't use that resizable bar bandwagon, it's off here local as it should be for MSFS.
Simple FPS gives an indication that VRAM is ok, otherwise it would go down fast 😉 Smoothness is a different story most important one for me personal 🙂

 Indeed many parameters including your hardware setup bios version, drivers, settings , etc lot to play with....
For me it's butter  smooth better performance then Fenix in the same conditions.

Love the performance boost and native 2024 compatibility but the sounds are missing something idk what it is but the Kosp with toliss has it. That lovely whine when idle in the cabin by the wings. (If someone knows the name)  Overall I’m glad this finally came out cause I’m done buying neos lol

For the PW the whale sound is there 🙂

I turned off Resizeable Bar in the Bios and performance came good
