Doesn't matter if it's 3pm or 3am, same holds true for line noise, just about non existent. I've been running High Speed WIFI since 2020 days and now in 2024 and don't have the popping or melted buildings since SU3. SU5 have been running great for me so far and I just use streaming. Only thing that I gown load are the 2024 aircraft that I purchased from marketplace. No. Photogrammetry cannot be downloaded. It remains streamed.

February 16Feb 16 Looking forward to your findings. We have been told that downloading the data to the harddrive is useless, but no one seems to have tested this theory. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

That's my observation and also was said by Mr. Sebastian Wloch in one of the last dev streams. Unfortunately, I don't remember in which one exactly. That's very soon a thing of the past, unfortunately. Example: WD is completely sold out for 2026, others will follow, HDD prices soar. Short quote from the linked article (Tom's Hardware): 'The company’s VP for Investor Relations, Ambrish Srivastava, said that 89% of its revenue came from its Cloud business, while its consumer business only delivered 5%. Because of this, it would make sense for the company to focus more on enterprise clients — similar to how memory chip makers decided to focus production on the more lucrative HBMs that are in demand from hyperscalers. The cost efficiency of hard drives has especially become more apparent now that SSDs are skyrocketing to more than 16x the price of an equivalent HDD.' I don't know why MS/Asobo even bothers with the photogrammetry. It's a performance suck for worse visuals. (Gig Internet here). Same here, 1 Gbps cabled and photogrammetry off. The last time I checked, FS2024 was only pulling ~30 Mbps so the bottleneck is elsewhere, likely limitations placed on the Azure infrastructure to keep costs down. I bet PG works fine in Asobo's lab. Hi, I don't use hybrid drives, I use NVMEs and for about $200 bucks you can get 2TB NVME. So the pricing hasn't changed that much just yet. I haven't used Western digital in ages! Mike: There was a thread here, I recall, from a short while ago, where the predominant conclusion was that, in MSFS2024, the off-line mode is not the way to go, if that’s where you’re heading… I looked but could not locate that thread now.

Just about done with getting everything downloaded, with the exception of photogrammetry. Since I don't run a 3D panel it's going to be interesting to see the difference between the two, if it just eliminates the building popping... that in-and-of-itself would be a win.
