February 23Feb 23 From Skyward Simulations Discord: "I am happy to let you know that today, we can finally share a first look at what we've been working on for the past two years in even greater detail. We're in the final stages of development and getting more excited by the day to soon bring the Sovereign+ to the virtual skies. (Given the sounds are being handled by Boris, they deserve a whole showcase all by themselves, that will follow prior to release of the plane.)" So happy to get another biz jet into the sim! February 23Feb 23 Looks very nice! Other than the IRL differences, do we know how this compares - as an addon - to the Default Cessna Longitude...?

This is exactly what I want to know. It's why Im not a huge fan of these cinematic trailers. Yes, it looks good. But, looks are only half the story. I want to see more long tech demo videos created by the actual developers who made the aircraft. I want to know about the work that's gone into making the aircraft as realistic as possible.
February 23Feb 23 Lots of shorts of the exterior but little focus on the avionics, the system depth, the failures modeled, etc. Looking forward to more information before I get excited. MSFS 2024. I really like the fact that it’s capable of significantly shorter field operations, and the slightly shorter legs and lower speed don’t bother me at all. so I’m positively disposed to getting it, but only if it’s as well simulated as the Longitude. 🤙
February 23Feb 23 Their DA50 is a nice aircraft that flies well. But light on some systems, no tablet, etc. Look forward to seeing a real video of this, where we can hear the sounds etc. Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

February 25Feb 25 At first I was kinda like "meh" but then I started reading something really cool about this aircraft - that it has a really short takeoff distance/runway requirement. It's just over 3,500 ft and still cruises at Mach .80. The C700 needs 4,800 ft and only cruises a little faster at .84! That means the you can get the C68A into much smaller fields with a landing distance of just over 2,500 ft. But you can still cruise quite fast. So really this is my kind of jet hehe... perfect for smaller airfields. Initially it seemed to be a mid tier addon but from talking to a few folks it seems they've taken some deeper care into making it. I will be buying it! I will also make a few paints! In sim terms, would this mean it could load in a Simbrief plan or something like that? Do we even have D-ATIS in MSFS? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

February 26Feb 26 After looking into this project a little more closely, I think this has the potential to be one of the best bizjets ever released. Great system depth, sounds by Boris, datalink on the G5000 (a first?). The devs are really active on discord too. Posting in-development stuff and answering questions. Something I'd like to see more of from other developers. Edited February 26Feb 26 by james42
February 26Feb 26 I'm still kinda 'meh', mainly because of the state of the DA-50RG which arrived with so much potential and was then just abandoned. I hope I am proved wrong.
