February 24Feb 24 I don't normally fly warbirds but my Dad was a B-25 mechanic in the Marine Corps during WWII, so I may have to grab this one.

February 24Feb 24 I’m thinking, the current @DAD is a tad bit younger, by the look of it…🙂… More like new James Bond material, than one of us greying Dads, with their next generation already here in this AVSIM Forum… And, @guibru: Appreciated the update about the B-25J. Thank you.

I remember making so many plastic models of this with my old man. Great to be able to fly it in the sim. Looks great, sounds great and maybe the systems side of it will get corrected in 2024 down the track. Jase
February 24Feb 24 AH includes a pdf manual. Meanwhile Google AI said this: To start the Wright R-2600 radial engines in the Aeroplane Heaven B-25, follow this sequence: 1. Pre-Start Configuration Parking Brake: Pull the parking brake lever to SET. Fuel Selectors: Set both fuel selectors to the MAIN tank position. Mixture Controls: Move both mixture levers to the IDLE CUT-OFF (full back) position. Throttle: Advance the throttles approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch open. Propellers: Set the prop levers to the FULL INCREASE (full forward) position. Battery Switches: Turn both BATTERY switches to ON. 2. Starting Engine #2 (Right Engine First) Fuel Boost Pump: Turn the right fuel boost pump to ON (Low or High depending on temperature). Inertia Starter: Toggle the starter switch to ENERGize. You will hear the flywheel spooling up to a high-pitched whine. Mesh (Engagement): Once the flywheel is at full speed (roughly 5–10 seconds), move the starter switch to MESH to engage the engine. Ignition: As the propeller begins to turn, set the MAGNETO switch for Engine #2 to BOTH. Mixture: Once the engine "fires," smoothly move the right mixture lever to AUTO RICH (full forward). Monitor: Check the OIL PRESSURE immediately. If it does not rise within 30 seconds, shut down the engine. 3. Starting Engine #1 (Left Engine) Repeat the same process for the left engine. Ensure both GENERATOR switches are turned to ON once both engines are running to charge the batteries. 4. Post-Start Cowl Flaps: Open the cowl flaps to FULL OPEN to prevent the radial engines from overheating during taxi. Avionics: Turn on the Radio Master and navigation equipment once the electrical system is stabilized. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

February 26Feb 26 I liked their Lancaster a lot, so I'll probably get this one. I don't mind if it's not MSFS2024 native, as long as it all functions properly. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
February 26Feb 26 If I remember correctly, The B25 was released for FS 2000 and FS2004. There were 2 developers heated spats over infringements. I believe one of the developers Name was Roy Chaffon if I'm getting that right. He also released a free version of the plane to screw the other developer version who was charging $$ for their version. I owned both versions and felt personally that they had no place for me in Flight simulator. If there were some other platforms (Combat Simulator) as example, the B25 would work. But at this point I don't see any reason to buy this aircraft for 2024. Where does it fit in other than just sitting in my hanger?
