March 13Mar 13 'We are thrilled to announce the development of the Just Flight A300B4 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024. The first wide-body twin-jet aircraft and pioneer of extended twin operating procedures (ETOPS), the A300 first flew in 1972, with the B4 variant following in 1975 and featuring an increased fuel capacity and improved high lift systems.' March 13Mar 13 Thanks for the heads-up. I am still waiting on their Fokker 70/100..they have been silent on that one for a few months.
March 13Mar 13 It looks gorgeous. Much as I like the new A340-600, I wish it had the same level of texturing. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
March 14Mar 14 Author Indeed, Just Flight has been doing quite a lot of things quite right for some time now. 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
March 14Mar 14 I'm wondering if there is any difference between the Imi A300 and this release. Is it any better than the Ini a600 which is modeled fine. I know people going to jump on a new release, but I'm just wondering why? JF A300 is the old B4 model, more classic and with INs navigation. A total different aircraft.

I know people going to jump on a new release, but I'm just wondering why? The JF A300 is a B4-200 with steam gauges and a three man cockpit. This is true old-school flying. The ini is a -600 with a highly automated two man cockpit and glass displays. It's like comparing the DC-10 to the MD-11. Externally similar, but a totally different flight experience.
March 14Mar 14 Here is a nice old video presenting the A300-B4 and the different panels including the engineer panel:

I know people going to jump on a new release, but I'm just wondering why? Very different aircraft. Don't be misled by them both being "A300" models. The B4 (Just Flight) is ancient. An airliner that was flying around in 1975. No glass screens whatsoever. All steam gauge. The -600 (Inibuilds) is much more modern (to demonstrate this, Airbus was still selling the A300-600F, as brand new aircraft, as recently as 2007). It has EFIS / EHSI, a comprehensive autoflight systems, with VNAV (Profile) capability. The B4 has no VNAV function within the autopilot, neither will it show a TOD, as there is no screen to show it on! In short, owning both will be rational as - although they may look similar on the outside model - the flying regime will be drastically different between the two. Think of the A300 B4 as in the same era as the 747-200 (all analogue) and the A300-600 being in the same era as the 747-400 (comprehensively updated avionics and EFIS). March 14Mar 14 Just Flight aircraft are amazing. I am waiting on the Fokker too. The last update they had I think was Dec of last year. Unless anyone knows better. The screen shots always look so good and they tease of a 'soon' release then nothing., I know it isn't that simple, but.. Anyway, I will add this Airbus to my list of aircraft I really want lol. Thanks for posting!
March 14Mar 14 I guess I have to get this one as well to add to my Airbus collection. As soon as Fenix releases the NEO's and someone makes a decent A330 (not that the default is bad, but it's still a limited offering compared to payware) I'll have them all and can do some historic 5 Decades of Airbus fying.
March 14Mar 14 I was hoping That Aerosoft would update their bad A330 release of the CEO. Now with the collaboration with ToLiss, maybe they can rebuild the A330 the right way. Hopefully. I know people going to jump on a new release, but I'm just wondering why? IIRC, the JF is the true “Classic” in that there's a Flight Engineer. That knocks it out for me, despite my affinity for JF addons. At this point, the only twin I’m waiting on is their Tornado 😎
