March 17Mar 17 A question. I would see that eventually these robots go beyond surveillance and logistics to actually fighting. We have two robot armies facing each other on the battlefield. Eventually one robot army wins. Does the country that fielded the robots who lost say, "OK, you won, come in and take over our country."? Or does the country that lost field a human army to defend themselves? Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

Noel Once the feodorati were defeated, the late Roman empire could not defend itself. What I mean is if you out-source your national defense to someone else (robots, feodorati / mercenaries, you name it), if that someone else is defeated, pretty soon your populace won't have any effective way to oppose an actual invasion....you'll have a human population that is not trained in military matters, tactics, command & control, can't even fire a gun, etc. and yeah, then it's Ahnold-time.
