I recently purchased their C130J and was having some difficulties with it that at the end of the day were my fault.

Regardless the level of support I received helping me out deserves a mention here.

I am most grateful for their patience and help.

It is great when a dev offers great assistance 👍  🙂

I have had a similar positive experience with Blackbird's customer service. Great to mention them here.

AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN  Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. Currently on Win11

Add to that ongoing incremental improvements to most of their other addons, and no upgrade fees so far. A big change from their P3D practices!

And speaking of P3D, huge kudos to them for making their entire P3D fleet free for the download!

The head dev is really committed and responsive on Discord.  The aircraft itself is just getting better and better.  It is quite complicated in places though, and definitely is NOT something you should expect to be able to just jump in and fly like an airliner.

Yes, Blackbird was formerly Milviz. They rebranded a year or two ago if I recall. Officially, they are Blackbird Simulations (BBS).

I believe the milviz name still exists but exclusively producing professional aircraft for the military, blackbird is the name given to their consumer products branch.

Yes - quite a few of their installed MSFS addons still have the MilViz name!

I have to give their C130 J a new try...

The installation process is a bit cumbersome, and I didn't like the way asymmetric thrust is represented, but maybe they have made some progress (?)

I tired again when v1.0 was released and I'm still not in love to be honest. Still too many bugs to squash.

In the efb when sink to throttle one is ticked it does not sync throttles and stays red.

Assymetric thrust definitely is modelled because on the ground I've steered with it... 🤣
