May 13May 13 Hi fellas, There is an excellent freeware Cessna 172M available on Flightsim.to: https://flightsim.to/addon/108482/cessna-172m Well worth the download. The FM feels great and there are multiple panel options, including KLN90B, Garmin G5, GNS 430, GTN750 and 650. Only downside to me are the panel textures, which seem a bit to clean. The dev said he’d worked extensively with experienced 172 pilots to really get the FM dialed in. if you like it, makes me look forward to giving it a try 👍
May 13May 13 Been flying this a few weeks. It's still very much a work in progress (and IMHO is not at the level of his Reims Rocket yet) but is coming along nicely. It's a shame Bagolu can't yet work with the 2024 SDK though. His planes are very much 2020 planes, that work in 2024. No 2024 features, like external interactables. But it's freeware, and a great option for an older 172! May 13May 13 Hats off to this developer. His FDE expertise is truly exceptional. I genuinely enjoy flying this aircraft—personally, I find it far superior to many of the alternatives currently available. With some additional refinement to the cockpit textures and gauges in the future, this could become an even more outstanding package. Once again, thank you for your impressive FDE work and for delivering such an excellent product. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I'm not very familiar with that stuff so I'll dig into it. For me a c172 is a c172 but I understand that is a huge simplification of the reality 😁.It's just amazing what creators like Bagolu can achieve and bring to the community.Have a nice day!

Anyone got the sounds set to work.?I've just had a look into this.I've explored Bagolu's sound mod (which intends to alias either the Boris or Echo19 C172 sounds to his C172M), to find that it's a revised aircraft.cfg, and all it does is alias his C172M sounds to the default C172. I guess he's thinking that if the Boris or Echo19 packs are installed, then his C172 aliasing the default C172 will result in those sound mods being applied to his C172M .............. but I don't think that will work.If you alias an aircraft's sound to a default aircraft, I believe you'll only get the default aircraft's sounds - even where you also have a sound pack for that default aircraft installed. I just tested it (I have the Echo19 C172 pack installed, and Bagolu's C172M, and his mod) - as expected I only got default C172 sounds in his C172M.Can anyone else test and see if you do get the Boris or Echo19 sounds with this mod?
