Any working GSX Pro profiles available on flightsim.to yet?

The ones for the PMDG DC-6 MSFS 2020 won't work right?

Tried to fly vor to vor navigation, no gps?

In Canada the Liberal govt has killed off most VORs and NDBs. Sad and imho. as a retired 40 year pilot, not the smartest of moves.

Same in USA and I don't think it has anything to do with movement but with a budget. While I get the sentiment, maintaining VOR is expensive (may be much less for NDB). At the end of the day even VORs go off to maintenance way more that GPS signal. Some old tech eventually must die, remember Loran?

And anyway, what has decommissioning old ground equipment, in the age of GPS, got to do with politics? If they were spending your tax-paying dollars on expensive maintenance of old, largely-redundant equipment, I bet you'd be the first to complain about that too. 😄

Exactly! It's 2026 not 1976.

I used the GPS in my last flight and it worked well, and the ILS landing works well too.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Last time was in P3DV4 or 5 , cant remember exactly but was quite fun to fly. I recall ENVA-ENTC , EKCH-ESSA and EKCH-EKRN

as some of my choices.

How is the MS24 version to the P3D ?

After two GPS flights and two missed approaches, it seems the annoying GN430 GPS bugs are still present, not to mention the infamous orange WASM screen crash. VOR-to-VOR navigation, on the other hand, appears to be working well. Testing is still underway, but the DC-6 appears to be largely abandoned at this point.

As a current Canadian pilot, there’s no reason to have them, so why waste the money on them? We use GPS everywhere. In 11 years of professional flying in Canada, I have never “tracked a radial outbound” or flown anything other than an ILS or RNAV approach.

There’s still a bunch that work up north, and even then, questionable why.
