You can select it on the EFB. There is a button for the aircraft on the last page.

Sorry to ask, how do I activate the EFB on this bird, is there a clickspot?

Dear god of flightsims, please give us a Blacksquare Twin Otter Blacksquare Do 228.

BlackSquare immunised me to Carenado. Just had a quick Google of Do228 cockpit photos. I think I can predict already some of the complaints soon after release. "Why don't the condition levers work" "

I really like this aircraft ever since I built an airfix model of it when I was about 12. Bring it on!

How do you do open it in any other aircraft?

It's inside the default MSFS 2024 EFB , click the last page to see the Dornier entry to give a choice of GPS and Artificial Horizon.

The D228 graphics are first class and the handling is fine for me. Couldn't say anything about the electronics yet but the price seems right.

If you have a soft spot for the D228 then you should be happy dropping into Jungle Strips.

ah, ok, thank you. I thought there is a dedicated clickspot for a Carenado designed EFB somewhere...

Avangel is up to her old jokes. Starting up an Luftwaffles airport chain store (at 3:42).

Just bought it. Nice modeling and overall handling. EFB works well to switch out various instruments, including the TDS GTN750XI. Took a twenty min flight and all was expected/desired. I’m well pleased. YMMV. TANSTAAFL Blue skies,

What are the sounds like?

Can you confirm the Aspen's CDI is inop with the TDS? I read a bug report about this. The CDI needle doesn't move at all (from the center) on the Aspen with either GTNs. This is a basic but major bug. I'm no longer buying from Carenado since they haven't fixed the previous issue (same on their Baron B55), and the major APPR mode issues on the King Air 200 during an RNAV approach. Since RNAV approaches are mainstream in 2026 irl, I would like them to fix their very basic bugs before I buy any further products. I don't expect perfection, or perfect sounds. But I do expect basic things to operate.

Will check in an hour or so when I finish current Fenix flight. Did not notice the INOP Aspen, but then again…I didn’t look! LoL. Back soon,

I think you are correct. Just tried a short EGCC-GP flight and the needle didn't move however much I deviated from track.

The alternative gauge works OK

Just flew the DO again. Short flight PDX to SEA, ILS RWY 34C. During flight the (green) CDI? needle in the lower gauge kept track with same on TDS. On approach to land at SEA I successfully captured LOC followed by GS, but no sign of the GS deviation indictors. Landing was uneventful but in the blind. YMMV. Blue skies,

The center needle itself doesn't move though. The inner portion, the part that actually tells you if you're left or right of course. The pointer probably moves and "points" to the next waypoint, but the inner needle never deviates off center.

And lack of Glidepath is stupid... these are simple coding errors that take little effort to fix.

No more Carenado for me. They still seem to have an audience though...

Again, another Carenado turboprop that I just can't map my Saitek throttle quadrant condition lever. Same as their latest Kingair. No problem with other turboprops.
