Sunday at 12:17 AM5 days I am in the process of upgrading my graphics car from a 6Gb one to minimum 8Gb HOWEVER since I purchased and installed MSFS2024 I have never got this warning before using that SAME airport (actually one which I created).I have NOT changed any graphics settings. Could something else have changed them such as (sneaky) Asobo?Which settings should I change and when I get my new graphics card do I need to change graphics settings or does 'the system' automatically detect a better graphics card and adjust the graphics settings? Sunday at 12:20 AM5 days Commercial Member it could possibly be the way the new card handles VRAM, but to be honest for 2024 I wouldn't have gone from a 6 to 8, just a waste of dollars in my opinion. Edited Sunday at 12:21 AM5 days by rick celik
Sunday at 01:11 AM5 days Author thanks I haven't got a new graphics card. I was going to wait anyway to see if 6gb handles the graphic setting which gives me an image I am satisfied with. I was just puzzled that I got the warning when I hadn't changed anything. You should invest in a 12 gig or higher card with decent clock speeds. but that won't make that irritating message disappear. Sunday at 01:58 PM4 days 8 GB? Blimey, I'm getting that warning occasionally with my 16 GB RTX 5080. It's mainly with addons like Samscenes New York v2 but cropped up in a few other spots. I've turned down my texture resolution from ultra to high and my TLOD and OLED down a bit too which seems to have helped though. Off screen terrain pre-caching is a bit of an issue for me though because I find that panning with TrackIR needs to have it set to Ultra to avoid panning stutters.Using DLAA with 2x framegen and whilst I can use DLSS or a bit more framegen, I don't like the visuals as much with those settings. Sunday at 02:06 PM4 days I have a 16gig card and I get that message all the time now.Its mainly annoying. Does not seem to effect anything.Have not tried the flightsim.to. thing.Has anyone else.?Agree with everybody. If you decide to buy a new card and frankly your going to have too get at least a 16gig card Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

Sunday at 02:35 PM4 days Check for yourself and use the display FPS option within MSFS2024. I too thought that I had a VRAM issue as that is what the sim was telling me. I was wrong. I USED to get this warning ALL of the time with my 16gb RTX4080 so I enabled the display fps to see what was going on and the VRAM WAS NOT anywhere close to being exceeded. The system ram however WAS exhausted. I Had 32GB of DDR4 and was nearing near zero headroom with my sim running left so I pulled the pin and moved over to 64gb of DDR5 and it has NEVER come back once since. I was previously quite reluctant to upgrade ram thinking that it wouldn't make much difference, I was so wrong. The smoothness increase in the sim was night and day compared to before. I definitely paid through the nose for the ram and it has since then increased in cost by another 40% but it was one of the best purchases for the PC that I have ever done in the 25+ years of simming and building pc's. The important thing though is to check for yourself with the display FPS function and see what's going on inside. i7-13700KF, 64gb DDR5 6000, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

Sunday at 05:19 PM4 days The point was more to check and see for yourself and your system. Just because it says that it is a VRAM issue doesn't mean that it is. In the case of the OP with a 6gb card, it probably is, but it's still good to look to see if there are other weak links in the system. i7-13700KF, 64gb DDR5 6000, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

Was not trying to be an word not allowed. This never happened before one of the msfs updatesWhat I was getting at is the message is bogus and it may be nothing at all with your system.Mine is rock solid and I still get the message. Finally bit the bullet and did the flightsim install and it worked no problemAlways scared when tell tell you to change system files Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Sunday at 10:13 PM4 days Author Firstly I don't get the warning (vram) in 2020 with the same airport and scenery (my creation at CAM9) and I didn't get the warning until after the su6 upgrade in 2024.From what I have been reading the warning message is more annoying than factual and there is something at flightsim.to (already mentioned above by another person) which what installed gets rid of the message. HOWEVER the instructions seem to be for the STEAM edition and I have the shop edition which has a different file structure. I will try the other one mentioned above which has a simple installationOh and yes as others have suggested in another forum and/or thread, I have decided to look for an RTX 2080 Ti OC11gb graphics card. Also replacing 16Gb DDR4 3200 with 32Gb. Just wondering if DDR4 3200 CL16 would be noticeable compared to DDR4 3200 CL18 (lower CL) Edited Sunday at 10:23 PM4 days by Jarnie added HOWEVER the instructions seem to be for the STEAM edition and .................
