  1. Ah, yes, the MD-11 is superb! Even though it is not as up to date with all the advancements PMDG made with the NGX everything is still there in terms of systems and flight dynamics. Truly a pleasure to fly.
  2. In general it depends on the software. Some developers will put something in to beta testing that others would consider to be finished. Some will put something into beta when it should have never left alpha. This from all the videos and photos seems to be the former!
  3. They are not allowed to discuss that aspect of the beta and there's really no reason to discuss it.

    +1 That would be great! Have not seen it yet. That will be what I fly almost exclusively until the rest of the 777 models come online.

  7. I Have seen some jets taxi with one reverser out to keep from having to ride the brakes.
  8. I made that mistake on a night flight. I was suddenly completely hopeless and wished I haden't gotten bored and started flipping switches! I had to resort to getting help from the fs default atc something I thought I would never do.

  11. Well I don't know the full details of it but I believe it is used for noise abatement procedures on departure. Engine N1 is reduced at a certain altitude to reduce noise. When this happens a shallow climb is maintained until normal climb power is resumed. In this case the CDU shows power is reduced at 800ft and increased again at 3000 feet.
  12. Same issue here. As far as I can tell it just randomly stopped working one day. I have not reinstalled the ngx yet.
  13. That one is challenging. I usually cross HITOP at 210 knots so I can go down without worrying to much about slowing down.

  15. If the i3 behaves anything like the i5 you shouldbe all set with fsx. Fsx for me locked at 30 fps seems to barely stress the processor out. I can run fsx and folding@home at the same time and it's still nowhere near fully loaded like my old amd 6000+ x2 was. This is on an overclocked i5 2500k at 4.6ghz. The i5 2500k is an extremely good value for the performance you get imo.
  16. Very interesting story. The G550 is an amazing jet!. I had a chance to ride in the back during a checkride recently. Really agile!
  17. Hey guys I was advised by PMDG that this problem may be related to OOM issues. At least on my system running a 32 bit OS. My issue involved terrain warnings coupled with a full airplane freeze soon after on approach to KSEA. It makes sense to me.
  18. I just experienced this bug at ksea along with a full airplane freeze. I submitted a support ticket.

  20. My latest try at KLAS MCCRN3 HEC KAYOH4 KSNA did not freeze after 4 tries and what I did differently was to use ground power until after the CDU was fully programmed and then I started the APU. I will try this again.
  21. yeah, I to have now tried everything. It is very frustrating and I would love to test anything that might fix the issue. I'm very curious as to why it does not seem to happen on some systems and on others it happens almost every flight.Andres Zapata
  22. Has anyone found a work around for when the panel freezes up and stops responding? Im anxious to fly this bird again, the two successful flights I had were awesome. I can't seem to get past programming the CDU before it gets me while stepping through the route in plan mode.Andrew
  23. I think you'll be more than fine I'm on an ancient amd Athlon x2 6000+ and a 9800gtx and it's definitely fly able with ultimate traffic 2 and Rex 2 to me. 15-20 fps.
