  1. Dibs on the TP !! 😂 From the "all true" Facebook archives...
  2. Art work is done, no red bars, 5 in the middle. Calibration is a different story, on the low end (8 in sim, 6 in real life) isn't a problem. It is the upper end that I need help to make a formula so it is calibrated properly. What are aircraft are you using? (company, freeware? zipfile etc..) It is easier to formulate the gauge to show real from the sim output than it is to get into the .air file and make the sim output equal real. The latter "may" fudge up other aspects of engine performance. It is not worth crawling down that hole. Roman EDIT - Disregard "what aircraft are you using". Used some "fuzzy" logic to make it work plus... Added an Easter Egg, hope you like :)) Just download again.
  3. To add.. Check with a default aircraft to see if they work. Some addon designers don't include tooltips in their gauges/VC code.
  4. Quarantine may have it's advantages.. 😉 Was a little bored. Made one for you from references on that interweb thingy. You can get it here.
  5. Outstanding flight Mike, Thank You! " Twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was. " 😎 😂
  6. This just came in over the wire.. Our flights using JoinFS & it's Simconnect interface are in jeopardy! 😂 😎 😂
  7. Just did a test using FSUIPC mouselook to confirm all - VC view: X = crisp, Y = crisp, Zoom = very small delay "spot" view: X = large "catch up" delay, Y = large "catch up" delay, Zoom = very small delay "locked spot" view: X = crisp, Y =crisp, Zoom = very small delay Since day 1 never liked, nor never used the plain "spot" view. A short video is here. (computer at 130% 👎 while capturing so slight audio & 1 video corruption)
  8. I don't know about P3D but in FSX it works exactly how you describe - while pressing the middle button, mouse look is active, and just as smooth as using the space bar / mouse. Not mechanical & definitely not on all the time.Use it on every flight - one handed.
  9. Isn't this feature a part of FSUIPC (Miscellaneous Tab)? Works fine here in FSX with no need for an external mouse assignment program to control it.
  10. Excellent flight Gunter - Thank You! Very, very picturesque. Took a few shots, when I could safely let go of the controls.. A couple of times it didn't end up well. 😲 If wanted you may view them here.
  11. Happy Birthday F-104 !! 66 years young!
  12. Once I saw a bear, he was nothing but bare, so I will give you the bare facts... That bear had no hair.
  13. Nice registration Ron! 😂 I believe it is what the pilot says after a notorious ground loop --> "WHAT <registration>!" <-- word not allowed here.. lol Best of luck to you Gunter.. ((
  14. This really sounds like it is FSUIPC calibration problem and you have both rudder and steering tiller assigned to the rudder axis. Either the rudder or the steering tiller is out of calibration. Basically, when it comes to the internals of the sim, the rudder and steering tiller are the exact same thing, just applied differently to the situation (ground friction vs aerodynamics) . All it does is to provide 2 separate calibrations ( on ground taxiing or rudder now effective ) for the human controlling the airplane. IE - Changing the rudder will change the steering tiller using the calibration provided for the rudder. (> 50knots, adjustable in FSUIPC.ini) Changing the steering tiller will change the rudder using the calibration provided for the tiller. (< 50knots, adjustable in FSUIPC.ini) It gets much more complicated than that, but that is for the aircraft modeller to deal with providing a more realistic visual/tactile representation.
  15. Brian, Not sure if you have the redone M. Shupe Mallard. ( another self advertisement 😎 ) Fly it quite regularly on our Sat. flights. 😉 It's over at the Outhouse & an update kit to x64 is here. Best of all? It's only $0.00, and if you get 2 during this special promotion it is still $0.00. ( add shipping and handling plus a service fee - $0.00 ) 😂
  16. Roger, Many thanks for the flight! What a way to come back into the foree.. 😉 Took quite a few shots of our flight.. After my original script failed at the beginning I set up another screenshot program, set it up in FSUIPC so I could use a joystick button... I failed (( Hehe. Forgot to set it up as a single press... Repeat was on! Nearly fainted.. A total of 297 screenshots were taken! 251 of them went right to the bin..LOL If interested you can see them here... Need to get back into the groove, not the best. Thanks again Roger!
  17. When saving a flight, not only does it the reference the flight plan itself but it saves the current GPS WP status and other factors. Of course all nav data that the stock GPS system uses comes from the scenery files. I am assuming the Tri-Holer uses the stock GPS system in the FMC. Other high end aircraft may use their own proprietary nav data & nav system. Therefore, when the flight was loaded and the nav reference (in scenery) was not found - Voila! "GPS-engine will not be loaded" Here's an excerpt from a saved flight showing all the data required for a successful GPS plan load, what it all means is beyond.. :
  18. Hey guys.. Looks like I am missing out. 😡 Had both Saturday's flight ( a <50% chance) & Sunday's flight, "The Coromandel", (~75% chance) all setup, ready to go. As you know, neither came to fruition. Both flights looked like they would have been quite enjoyable.. Mike, Thanks for the screenshots of the past flights, standing in for Gunter, and of course, the updated Tiger Moth proxies - much appreciated! Don't fool yourself.. I may have a $33K Hasselblad A6D-100c onboard, you a "Dollar Store" disposable but... 😂 You have the scenery- the shots are amazing! 👍 Jeff, And thanks to you for setting up the AU flights. Things are settling down.. Will make an upcoming flight or 3. 👌 I have been starting FS nearly daily. The downside? Haven't gone anywhere! LOL Most of the time I am sitting on the apron in the Maddog, apu running, flipping switches & pushing buttons. As some of you may remember I have been collaborating with a gentleman in Italy helping him interface a full size MD80 cockpit to P3D. All the indicators are done ( the flashy light thingys). Mainly working on the FGCP (autopilot panel). As some of you know the MaddogX is a well done aircraft. Some of the logic behind the FGCP is mind blowing. The vertical mode window was especially difficult but think I have it nailed.. A lot more active flying tests are needed - YAY! Our language differences can be, at times, a little tough. Getting by though, after all, we are all speaking the same core language - aircraft & flying! Been using interface programs like FSUIPC, MobiFlight, SIOC & Airmanager. Learning the new programs is enjoyable, specially when it works as intended. Writing lua scripts, sioc scripts (proprietary language) for real instruments interfacing, building prototype circuits, setting it up with the interfaces & a lot of testing.. It has got me hooked! Even if I do not get to enjoy the final results by sitting in the "Dog" cockpit it is well worth the knowledge gained. Perhaps to build a home cockpit setup for myself in the future. If at all interested to see what the deal is, I have uploaded some of the docs created for the project and a testing vid.. You are welcome to see here. The Packers sucked... 👎 😭 Cya'll soon.
  19. A self plug.. You could try this - https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=fsx_tower_rs.zip&Author=&CatID=root Been so long since I've used it. Don't remember, but it may foot the bill.
  20. Maybe it is just offering reproductions in the payware market. After all, Pilatus offers hi-res model making kits on all their aircraft. 👍 Index Plans for the PC-24 Oh my.. A PC-24 for flight sim, an instant purchase.
  21. Just speculating, it seems solid.. Gauge systems run at 18hz while animation/logic code in the .mdl file runs at the sim's frame rate. "If" AS has logic residing in the model file and the frames drop below 18 then any logic code there is slower than other logic provided by the gauges possibly turning it all wonky. The other way around (FPS > 18) of course, has no effect. Again another speculation, for those who want to temporarily test and prove - try turning on your frame limiter within the sim and set it to < 18 FPS. Quick & dirty, easier than trying to overload the sim with heavy scenery, WX, AI etc..
  22. Very nice pictures Mike! Thanks for sharing. I feel I may get impeached after seeing those. 😞 Not 100% sure yet but it looks like I may miss this weekend too. 😭 Some holiday cheer for y'all -
  23. Oliver, Yes, and also some Alabeo aircraft.. In FSX this anomaly does not occur. I cannot prove extensively but I believe that LM has reduced the thread priority in P3D for the panel system of AI/Multiplayer aircraft. This will help P3D perform better with extensive AI aircraft. In FSX the priority is on the same level. How it works : 1) When the aircraft is installed a certain value is written "somewhere" . 2) When the aircraft is loaded in the sim as a user or AI aircraft, 1, and sometimes more of the gauges look to find this previously written, hidden "value". Note - this is the part where P3D falls short, at a slower priority it lags, the next steps happen right away. 3) If the hidden, installation provided value is found then the gauge writes a "go" value to an L:Var. If not found the L:Var remains the same or forced to a "no go" value. 4) The visual model is now being loaded. Inside the model code the L:Var gets read. If a "go" value then all is good, nothing happens. If a "no go" value then inside the model is code to cut the mixture and 1 of the following: hard over control commands for the ailerons, rudder or elevator. This has been tested extensively and can really cause problems in a multiplayer environment. (very similar / same to an AI environment) More of the same explanations can be found here & here.
