My system currently is the i7 2700k sandy brigde overclocked to 4.8 ghz with etc....etc...My point is this, it doesn't matter what set up you have its what YOU perfer.I use fs2004 only.Although, I have installed FSX several times, which I don't think it lasted the longest of a week before I removed it from the hardrive.Fs9 does it for me ,I don't have to turn off settings like shadows or other options that others do just to get my system run a sim like FSX in large airports.Anybody can learn how to make fs9 look more real if you just spend some time reading and trying new things out .Its not magic anybody can create it is all up to you.So if you want a 777 for fs9 make one or get into things like forums/groups that talk about how to make aircraft.We are the only thing holding us back from having what we want in life.

Thanks lan and newmanix ,No, anybody with access to avsim should be able to download a copy .I have spent many hours already on the exterior and still need touching up here and there...The Vc textures have been coming along but it is also a task of its own.Fs2004 has been such a wonderful sim for me.So many places to fly with great frame rates..I spend most of my time adding photo real paint jobs to all my AI traffic or finding away to make payware sceneries look more realistic.With some time and trial -n- error you too can make your sim the way you want it to be.Long live fs2004.......

With christmas getting closer I decided to give to this great hobby.I am doing the exterior and vc interior of the great freeware aircraft by Veneaviones the Turbo Commander 690B found here at avsim.Not sure if I will get finished with the new vc textures by christmas but I will for sure upload the exterior by christmas.Fs2004 has had a wonderful year in 2011.Still going strong on my system.Thanks to all that still use and support fs2004!Screenshots are unedited:

I finally received a e-mail my for the download link. The problem which they stated was my e-mail was not allowing for the return or link to be sent to my mail.Like another poster reported the fs9 version is not very detailed.Although the screens shots show reflective vc glass, which the fs9 version doen't even get this feature.I own a very powerdul system and only use fs9 so I can not comment on the fsx version.The plane is ok ,not anything to rave about.

Please don't give up hope .Qualitywings has proven fs9 is still able to use new design techniques even on their newest unreleased aircraft.All their new videos are shown in fs9.Besides Carenado released for x-plane and I am sure the are more people out there that use fs9 then that sim.Just give it a try .Please contactCarenado the worst they just can so no.Thank You!

Tha That program only adds sounds that fs2004 already has in other words it just enhances what is already in the sim. Try this free download. The sound is screwed to the Landing lights - triggered by AI-aircraft permission to take off. Minuses: sound also appears after the landing and heard everywhere, but loud varies depending on your distance to it. I have tried to balance the sound so as not to be allocated against what is happening. Personally, for me it even adds to the atmosphere of the airport. http://avsimrus.com/...=download&hl=ai

The ad only samples thunder and rain drops. It sounds ok although their is a freeware of these items that sounds just as good . As for the AI I recomend a free file called " 29218-AI-TAKEOFF-SOUND.zip" The sound is screwed to the Landing lights - triggered by AI-aircraft permission to take off. I bought it and give it 4 out of 5 stars. :( It's not as good as carenado in texture detail department, although still has many other great features.Thankful, for his continued fs9 support and to all other developers out there still producing for fs9! :(
