Some thoughts on Flight...
Apparently I was wrong. PMDG's first aircraft were for Fly!. Their 777 was for Fly! II. http://www.avsim.com/pages/0901/pmdg_fly_777/pmdg_fly_777.html Scott

New Avsim Format
I have to agree, what the heck is this thing and how to I get the old one back? I just want to type in what I want, and hit search. It's not rocket science. I don't care if it's not pretty, or integrated with the main site, I simply want something that works. Scott

Reality XP GPS
The 430 can display terrain and give some proximity alerts. It's not technically "TAWS". What the Garmin site says about the 430 is that it is not Class B TAWS alerting compatible, which is absolutley correct. Scott

OUTERRA will be our new flightsim platform in the future, because...
Seriously, lazy? Are you out of your mind? These guys are writing a planetary simulation FROM SCRATCH. Two guys. Lets see you do that, and then comment on how lazy they are. Scott

Do you have the newest release of the RXP GNS? You can get a download link from Bert. Scott

Same here. Disapointing to say the least. Scott

You can either have a pointless non-funtional 400, which is totally unrealistic, or a fully functional (for the most part) 430. Which would you prefer? I can easily ignore the COM/NAV 1 display on the 430, which is really the only difference worth mentioning between the two units. There are lots of C90's with G1000 conversions btw. It's an extremely popular mod these days. There are probably at least 3 or 4 for sale right now on Controller.com, if you want one. ;) Scott

Some thoughts on Flight...
PMDG's first aircraft addon was for FLY! II, FYI. You said something about short memories? Scott

C90 should be out soon!
I'm hanging. This is definitley my most anticipated addon of the year. Pretty excited. Scott

C90 Engine Upgrade
That's certainly sound advice. I'm notorious for tinkering so I'm probably going to mess with it anyway though haha. I'm just a huge fan of the -135A's in the C90. It's like night and day between them and the -21's. I'll just keep several backups of the original (which I'm sure will be excellent) in case I destroy something in the process. Scott

Carenado aircraft wish list
Did someone just say B350? And a 350i at that? Wow... I'm speechless. That's the best flightsim news I've heard in the last few years. Bring on the Proline 21 goodness.Scott

C90 Engine Upgrade
I realize I'm jumping the gun here since the C90 hasn't been released yet, but can someone enlighten me on modifying engine characteristics in FSX? I'm interested in dropping in some -135A's in my C90 once it gets "delivered". What should I be looking for in the FDE and aircraft.cfg?Scott

Additional New Pictures of King Air C90 Up
It's Beech :( , and no they don't. The last C90's like that rolled off the line in the early 90's. I think the most recent one I've seen with all analogue instruments was manufactured in '91.Scott

New Pictures of PA-46 MALIBU JET PROP DLX for FSX
I suppose they work together, but the GNS doesn't comunicate the flightplan to the Aspen. I fly a (real) Lance with a single Aspen quite a bit, and the Carenado unit is a decent reproduction, but the map just looks weird and is honestly a bit useless without the flightplan displayed. Maybe I'm doing something wrong though?Scott

New Pictures of PA-46 MALIBU JET PROP DLX for FSX
The Aspen doesn't integrate with the RXP units at all. If the G600 is the same way, I'd much prefer steam gauges.Scott

Carenado aircraft wish list
How about a jet? I would LOVE to see Carenado produce a 550 series Citation. That would be great.Scott

A bit of Candy...
You're complaining that PMDG is blowing smoke, and your proposed solution, is for them to blow smoke. There's no sense in that. If you're happy with them overestimating the release date by months, why can't you be happy knowing it will be released "eventually"? Just estimate the release date for yourself. Or I'll do it for you... I have it on good authority that the NGX will be released in 45 months. There, do you feel better now? You know exactly when it will be released and can rest easy. You're welcome,Scott Johnston

Update?
Sure you have.Scott Johnston

Update?
That's pretty obvious. I didn't see this first. Wow, you're a real winner. I'd be willing to bet that you've never read the first amendment, not that it even applies on this forum. Grow up.Scott Johnston

Southwest Airlines Grounds B737 Fleet
On youtube you'll also find videos of people driving over the speed limit, driving recklessly, using illegal drugs, etc. What are you getting at?Scott Johnston

I Wonder Why?
Wells Fargo is probably just the lien holder. That's called a combi (combination) variant. They've been around for a while, combi NG's are used extensively by the US Navy as C-40A's.Scott Johnston

Externalities and the NGX
You do realize that those are pictures are taken from two completely different angles, right?Scott Johnston

So how does the PMDG 737NGX compare to...
Considering the flightdecks and avionics of all four look essentially the same, I don't know why he would do that. Unless they were showcasing features specific to each different model, which they haven't.Scott Johnston

So how does the PMDG 737NGX compare to...
HUD = Head-Up Display, HUGS = Head-Up Guidance System. Different term, same idea.Scott Johnston
