Advice wanted on GPU upgrade
I would also appreciate very much your input on this topic. The common belief is that the CPU power matters in FSX, not GPU. I would like to know if this is the truth in your case (powerful i7 CPU + moderate GPU power).I have an old Core 2 Duo E8600 CPU 3300MHz running @4200GHz and quite old Nvidia 9800GTX+ GPU. The strange thing is that I hardly ever see 100% CPU usage in very demanding sceneries like KJFK, EGLL airports (~10fps with 737 NGX). So I would like to know if I see any increase in performance upgrading my GPU to something like you have at the moment (although I suspect that combination of CPU and GPU matters in fact).Gregor Gresiaczynski

stutter on landing solved!
I'm trying different tweaks at the moment (including ******* ones) with my aging PC (C2D E8600 @ 4,2GHz, Nvidia 9800GTX+ running the latest drivers, 4GB RAM, Win7 64bit) and to be honest I cannot see any improvement so far :-( I was expecting "wonders" using external fps limiter and online *******'s tweaker and saw no really any improvement so far. Still NGX is very flyable with 30+ fps in not very demanding sceneries but on some airports I have ~10fps which is quite frustrating (but then I remove AI traffic and is fine again).I think I will start over with a clean fsx.cfg again as Peter has sugested. :-) Gregor Gresiaczynski

New Video (~50min) NGX -700 real procedures in CorfuX
3 mins of this video is enough to presume with high confidence that he is a RL pilot, especially when he says about reporting problems to PMDG to be fixed in SP1 :)check his other videos on ytGregor Gresiaczynski

I would like to see the remake of 747X up to NGX high standards... 777 will be just a boring "flying computer" ;)Gregor Grzesiaczynski

Livery and Livery Manager issues - how to resolve
I've noticed that during uninstalling NGX via control panel some folders and files (for example DEM folder) are not removed. Is it normal? Gregor GresiaczynskiEDDF, EPWR

How did this make it out of testing?
So far, so good, 20-25 fps on custom made sceneries. I didn't try some really demanding ones, coz my rig is quite old (C2D E8600 3,33 @ 4,3GHz, G7800GTX+) but I'm quite happy with the performance. Anyway I'm feeling that an hardware update is unavoidable :) Gregor Gresiaczynski,EDDF, EPWR

PMDG position on 32 bit systems, please?
Honestly, FSX was the one and only reason I've moved from XP 32bit to Win7 64bit (on the same hardware). I had a major stutter issue in WinXP and Aerosoft sceneries (particularly with VFR Germany) which has disappeared in Win7 64bit. I still do have some minor performance issues but I think the time is coming for a major hardware update. Gregor GrzesiaczynskiEDDF, EPWR

FSX Aircraft Virtual Cabin framerate comparisons
>I have, however, heard on various forums that some folks are>having issues using the FSX in-flight menu with series 7xxx>and 8xxx cards. Apparently this is an issue with FSX SP2? This>is why I generally tend not to recommend the 8xxx series.Yep, I can confirm. I had that problem with in-flight menu and my 7800GT. But then, that problem was suddenly solved. Now I cannot recall what was the reason for resolving that issue (I got rid off FSX for some time). Most likely it was the new set of Nvidia drivers. Now everything is fine, except the performance at big airports with a lot of AI traffic. When I switch the AI traffic off completely the performance is quite good with complex payware planes (~15-25fps).Thank you for your advice (now I'm even more confused ;) but I'm heading towards 9800GTX+ or GTX260).Gregor

FSX Aircraft Virtual Cabin framerate comparisons
Hi Konrad,Thanks for your research! Could you tell me if you experience any kind of graphics card issues with FSX? Actually I was planning to buy 9800GTX card but I got confused by some reports (http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showtopic=20388) on problems with this specific piece of hardware. Can you comment on that?Thank you in advance,Gregor Grzesiaczynski
