  1. Just bought it from Flight1. It says latest version 1.5 with animated rain drops etc. Just read version 2 differs much. But hey ho..... At least I got myself a Duke
  2. OP post is right. In Dovetails latest build: None Steam FSX is re-directed to Dovetails server when checking in registry if FSX is activated and then tries to find Steam FSX. If not present on your PC it forces you to download Dovetail FSX. It also prevents FSX.exe to open again in the future as it puts some sort of lock on. Therefore rendering none steam FSX useless. You need to purchase Dovetails FSX in order to fix this issue. I made that up......
  3. That cracked me up Jim. But you are right. Turning stuff of in Bios when they supposed to be on will open a can of worms.....
  4. That makes me think if SID is overrated in the simmers world. I commuted last year almost every week between Gatwick and Hamburg. I could swear that many times the plane made a slight turn or went straight towards Kent and the channel. Sometimes it did several turns before it flew straight on.
  5. DC-9 from Coolsky is very nice. Good old school VI flying....
  6. I like to know too. I am planning to buy a good ATC program. Heard good things about Radar Contact and Pro ATC X apparently is now coming along nicely. i like to add to the OP which combo is best with a crew program aka FS2Crew or MCE ? Cheers
  7. MS FSX no SE is smooth and frame rates are high. However with FSX SE I suspect that when you are install Orbx, UTX, REX etc etc it will eventually become slower since Dovetail has not rewritten the original source code.
  8. Well said +1. I bought FSX SE but will use it with my next Windows 10 install. Then goodbye FSX DVD.
  9. I am astonished on how many people are confused about FSX and steam. FSX SE is still the same simulator. Nothing will be arcade like etc. Third party developer's need to update their installers. I have a lot of old games on steam which were on DVD's before. They are running fine and many with community mods.
  10. My brain is not working today....Went out for xmas party last night. YES YES I buy it !!! You got me convinced.
  11. Will not buy it until all addons work with Steam FSX Edition.
  12. ASN all the way. I am using Opusfsx for cameras only. However I did do a comparison and Opus still has cloud popping and wind sheer issues.ASN is smooth spectacular and gives a real weather feel.
  13. My god I never actually looked at the prices in the pub or it never occurred to me how much a pint cost. I just buy them and drink...... I thought there are the same as at Sainsbury's. When you buy a pint there. That's very funny....
  14. 6£ pounds more to pay. That is equivalent to roughly 3 pints of finest ale. Mmmmh.... if I drink only two pints a month for the next 3 months saving one...I can buy the airport. Done deal. Airport bought.
