  1. It really does look lovely huh Stan? (I've only seen the screenshots) As you say, its a bit of a haul to the nearest continent :-) .. is the only reason I havent splashed out on it myself
  2. Great stuff Jon. Love the TAP and EgyptAir paints, great work !!!
  3. As Mike mentioned it sounds like Queenstown and Milford Sound are works in progress, that'll be great to see from Orbx, Queenstown in particular has been crying out for an FSX airport for some time. Regarding the NZNI airports do take a look at the two payware (only $5us) sceneries from fs-creations for the Hamilton and Taupo airports. Very nicely done, fabulous places to fly into, and are both compatible with Orbx NZNI with a free patch from the vendor: see: http://www.fs-creati...re-Scenerys.php
  4. Nice pics Tom. You need to get yourself into a turbo-prop and get into some of the smaller joints, we got some great smaller regional approaches. If you fancy continuing the AirNZ theme then check out our scenery list for AirNZ destinations for FSX: http://www.virtualai...scenery-FSX.php Oh, and check out the NZFF.org google map for a bunch of other airports and addons: http://nzff.org/maps/index.html
  5. Some circuits at Auckland for me then a nice short real-world Auckland->Brisbane leg (ok almost real world, AirNZ run the ER model, someone is bound to point that out :P )
  6. Dear lord, how on earth did Auckland make it onto that list? Now Wellington, thats a different story. ps - I'm not making any claim that Hamilton should be anywhere near either :-)
  7. Hey Bram, how about the Britten Norman Islander from Flight1, its a beauty and nicely detailed: http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=bn2islander Have you considered the DH6 Twin Otter, also a great machine? : http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd,5930847690,10709 My latest bush bashing fave is the Carenado 185, I think the panel detail is fine, but you seem to have pretty high standards :-)
  8. Yeah and don't forget the fleet of Beech 1900D's operated by ANZ subsidiary Eagle Air, and we even have a couple of Jetstream 32s on contract at the moment. New Zealand truely is Turbo-prop heaven :-)
  9. Not really in a position to join another VA but I think Emirates is an excellent one to start, surprised there isnt one already Good luck
  10. Yeah that Macao looks lovely, am definately gonna grab that too. I also like the short hops, have been buying up a few SE Asian sceneries to do exactly as you say, the ImagineSim Singapore Changi/WSSS and Hong Kong VHHH are pretty nice too and a good deal if you buy them in a mulit-pack with the associated discount. I've also just bought the AA Sceneries Phuket which is real nice.
  11. It's brilliant fun mate, looks great, feels great. If you like low and relatively slow you will like this
  12. Hey Ryan. If you pop over the other side of the ditch, as in from Australia -> New Zealand, check out the following awesome map of both freeware and payware for the NZ region... http://nzff.org/maps/index.html
  13. Looks great, also tempted, might go well w the new Alabeo C188, mmmm two purchaes in one day??? :)
  14. Wowwwww..... thats gotta take some force to bend the fuselage like that. thanks for sharing :) edit - ##### was goin on in that 777 landing? cross winds? too much air-speed for flair?
  15. Yeah it will compile (or convert) quite happily with AIFP, I use that flightplan in FSX too.
  16. Bob, you do realise avsim has a search engine right? Try searching for "janet" in the "Fs2004 AI flightplans category" there's one there
  17. Nice find Momtchil, thanks for sharing. Gonna take this for a spin, some history of these operating in New Zealand and hasnt been a decent model for some time
  18. VIPD looks fabulous from the screenies, might have to take the demo for a spin. Would also like to hear about the SJC fixes as am thinking of the 3 FSX releases for 13euro thing at SimMarket
  19. Thanks lads, I have Frankfurt and Oslo, I'll pick up Munich based on your feedback and the FSDT Zurich at a later date. Bought the Drzewiecki Design EPKK Krakow tonight too which is absolutely gorgeous!!!!
  20. Thanks Al, wow thats some detail in that PDF Had another dig around and found the Iran AIP info too: http://ais.airport.ir
  21. Hey Stuart, jeeze mate you'll be working double shifts right round the globe :-)
  22. Hey Gonzo, nice idea having live-dispatch, I guess you'd need a very busy VA to sustain it huh? Would be interested to hear if there is a VA that provides this service, sounds like fun. I coded up an automated dispatch system for Virtual Air NZ which was well received by our staff, pilots choose an airframe and start airport and are assigned a shift of up to 6 outbound and returning legs from that point. Not what your asking about I know but was a fun thing to do, thought you might be interested.
  23. Jeff, thanks for sharing that mate, awesome resource, is there anything similar that indexes AI repaints as well? Seems to be mainly flightplans there
  24. Looking good Al. No doubt this will prove to be a busy route for the 787 ;-) BTW - any pointers for chart sources for Iran/Iraq/Kuwait/Afganistan?, I've seen some tower/ATC coverage on VATSIM at various times over the last week or so and would like to fly some routes by the book but cant find charts anywhere?
