You will have to buy the Victor Airways, then You will unlock Jet Airways. After collecting 1000 floating coins, You can spend them on commuter planes. One livery will be ~1000 credits.Just kidding, no one really could answer about AI, ATC without breaking the NDA... Let's wait three weeks. I am pretty busy with FSX's JS41, so I do not really care about no-VC planes and small island

There is a good reading on FAA site - 'Aircraft Flying Handbook' or something similar. Worth reading, since You will learn very basic VFR-needed skills and lots of good, valuable information

I do not know if it is the best place for this, but I am in deep need of something, which will provide me vital information about weather surrounding the airplane. Something very similar to the X-Gauge, but operated via WideFS rather than coupled to the FSX plane's panel as a 2D popup. Of course it has to work under Windows 7 OS.It may be a feature request for current and future AS2012 owners maybe - standalone X-gauge powered by wideFS or different networked solution.Do You fellow simmers are aware of such tool? It could be real aviation tool, I am prepared to pay for the thing, but has to provide worldwide weather fir at least couple for months back. MET reports besides graphics will be very appreciated. Thanks for any tips

New J41 Buyer: Flashes of light in VC
BartEnder replied to ryanbatc's topic in PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)
You're right, there's thunderstorms :)These flashing rectangles are usualli in the corners or in the mid-windshield, and only, when visible icing is selected in JS41 config tool.I used to have them back in the days, now they are gone - do not remember which nVidia Inspector settings change cured me.If it is a help to anybody, I use 16xAF with 4xSS plus SUPERVCAA 64X 4V 12 -
Dummy FSX folder when installing addons
BartEnder replied to simmerhead's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
It really depend on the installer. There is no simple answer. Back in the days when using port-overs from FS9, I created only FSX folder without a files. Then move gauges to FSX's actual gauges, Aircfaft folder to SimObjectsAirplanes and so on.The best technique to check what was changed during the instalation IMO. Plus, I do the backups every time I install something (Norton Ghost incremental backup) -
There is no way. 16x max when Autopilot steers the metal

a couple of questions for a couple of aircraft...
BartEnder replied to Wendall's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
If You are a patient one, go try how high it can get. You will be suprised! Vx is 55 Mph as far as I remember. The documentation is also worth reading, there are many tricks how to fly the cub by feel. -
Most favorable T-Prop here are:- PMDG JS-41Very detailed systems and VC, nice FDE, very rewarding plane to fly. A lot of reading (well written) if You want to fly as real as possible.- RealAir Turbine DukeDetailed almost as good as JS - great small GA, easy to handle, extremly powerful (+4000fpm VSI deviation - not only on sea level)- Aerosoft Twin OtterVery nice aircraft to fly, has old VC, but nice flying characteristics. You can use it it various missions from the 3rd party market to get You familiarized with it.For VFR sightseeing I use Duke from time to time. For 200-500 miles IFR commuter trips, JetStream is always my bird of choice. Do not forget to add FS2Crew to it.

Haven't read all the posts here, but JS41 is an amazing plane. It is not very FPS demanding, but demands a lot from the pilot (single PC pilot). I would DL the manuals if I were You and read it once. Then buy the plane and fly a bit in VFR to know the bird and go for the literature again. Then go for FS2Crew and You will forget about heavy irons for a couple of flights.EDIT: I do not recall any similar bird in FSX, so it is second to none in terms of modeled avionics and systems. Bendix-King offers free of charge real GNS operating manual.

Thanks Tom for sharing the stats. Intresting thing is, X-Plane forum is more popular than FS9 (in regarding to forum views)

Fortunately there are lot of other good scenery designers.Their products are as good as bad is their attitude to the customers. Eqilibrium exist everywhere.

Texture flickering / flashing
BartEnder replied to Kosta's topic in PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)
In that point, PMDG is something close to MS....SP2 related posts are all around the clock on 1st page and I have not seen ANY comment from PMDG since approx. two years, which means SP2 will be ready, when we will see FSX SP3 (means - never).Anyway, JS41 is a good plane to fly, even without icing effects -
Flying the ICON A5 is like a dream within a dream!

Bingo. That's how I see MS Flight and MS FSX (Reno racing missions - a game or a simulator??)
