First trip. 19 years old. Wardair - Toronto to Montreal. A310 - Beautiful. Weather was awful in Montreal when we landed, but he brought the thing in without issue. Had a trip to the cockpit on the return flight, when you were still allowed to go up.

Crashes P3D V4.1 with 737 NGX 2D Panel
jhaley101 replied to Dquickou's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Yes, but he and other users "want" to use the 2d panel. I've experienced this problem with P3d in past versions and I was afraid it would return with this latest update. Can anyone offer opinion on what's going on? -
In 2005 I started out on a journey to visit every single airport in Canada. I did lots of other flying in the meantime, but I finished my journey this past summer. From coast to coast, it was a fabulous journey. I've visited all kinds of airports around the FS world. But I like to visit them by flying from one to the next.

Best Landclass for 10 bucks

UTX Canada version 2 - IS coming - 1 to two months away, announced some time ago. JH -
Not sure what happened exactly, but all of my STAR files are located under the country of origin, but not further divided into states and provinces. I can't point the STAR path to this directory without an error. There's no way I can take the time to add each and every star to the appropriate state or province, it would take forever. Maybe I can try the SIDSTAR converter again, but I'm afraid I'm just going to duplicate the problem. Any suggestion is appreciated. UPDATE Re-ran the converter, all is fine now. I must have had it set improperly.

If you're serious about learning more about AI, texture sizes, how AI interacts within the sim. Go here: http://www.alpha-india.net/ Go the forums section, Set yourself up with a password and READ the tons of information posted on just about every aspect of AI. I've been a small part of the group for years. AI is an addiction. JH

Any tricks for OOM at FlyTampa Buffalo?
jhaley101 replied to Gregg_Seipp's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Toronto has quite a reputation, but I have all the others and they are great. I'm in and out of Montreal regularly and its superb! There are a lot of options to turn on and off in Toronto, but check things out, there have been problems reported. Some may be tied to the installation of other products, some of which have already been noted here. JH -
Why not use HJG's version. Free, tons of paints, good modelling. Just sayin' JH

is your custom KDLH scenery sharable? Interested. JH

Deleted my post, information I posted was incorrect. Sorry

Well I got the program up and running with full SID/STAR setup - nicely done. But wow, a lot of problems around me. 1) Many, many planes around me on approach would turn very sharply, some would turn upside down, speed up to incredible speeds, and then slow down to nothing. 2) Ground traffic, a tail dragger was slowly moving across the airport field, grass and tarmac in reverse at a very slow speed. Just a straight line, straight back. Weird. Most of the weird observations took place at the arrival airport, a busy CYYZ. When I left Montreal, I had a Dash 8 come in and land on top of me as I prepared for takeoff, but the aircraft at the departure airport seemed to be working properly. I do enjoy watching the AI approaches, battling wind and trying to line up for the approach, superb! I'm thinking the air traffic behaviour may be more related to settings. FSX - box version. AIController runs on client machine, no other AI traffic programs installed to manipulate traffic. I do have UT2 installed. STB runs on the client and I'm able to watch other AI through Flightsim Commander, that's where I would see a lot of really large speed fluctuations. JH

FSGlobal 2010 - downloadable version - will eliminate airport elevation problems at almost all airports. I have the FSGlobal Ultimate series, and it takes a while to install, but it's a fabulous mesh for the entire planet. If you don't use a SSD though, be prepared to take the day to install and defrag properly.

I think the ASN update destroyed my FSX
jhaley101 replied to Jack_Sawyer's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Quote: "I'm so fed up right now I could spit nails. My frustration level is extremely high and I have zero patience for incompetence from HiFi." You may want to look at taking some time to actually read and learn some basic things about your own computer, FSX, and HiFi before you throw around the word incompetence. Maybe time for another walk in the forest..................a much longer walk. JH -

No changes to my cfg or odd messages during install, I've used the update for 3 flights already, no problems here whatsoever. JH -
Tom Allensworth Memorial flight
jhaley101 replied to trucker17's topic in In Memoriam of Tom Allensworth
Great idea, what a legacy he has left for us all to enjoy. Thoughts and prayers today, strength for everyone moving forward. -
Chris Rea should be all over the replacement position!

I asked the original question of UT2 for Canada on the Simforums site and hope that others that would like to see the product might chime in with support. As a long time supported for the UTX series, I really hope they might reconsider. If you'd like to see an update, please chime in. JH

Jetline Systems Reference - anyone used them before?
jhaley101 replied to AirCanada235's topic in PMDG General Forum
Purchased a system from them a couple of years ago and its running magnificently still today. I cannot say enough about the support and assistance I have received. My only negative comment, is that the Ken is a Tampa Bay Lightning fan! Seriously, take the plunge, you will not only receive a top notch quality machine, but you'll also open the door to excellent support and assistance.
